Hi everyone, I need a little help here. I hope for my dd to get 260 for PSLE this year, but I'm not sure about the most accurate way to calculate the psle score. Can someone plz help me calculate it?

English: 88
Math: 94
Science: 92
Mt: 79

Thanks!
I think there was a culculating website?
Really? Which website could that be? Can you share with me?
http://www.sgdatascience.com/#/navigator

But not sure how accurate it is. As I tried, huge difference from x0.75

I am wondering why we have to use the formula X 0.75 as different schools, different standard . Some papers are more difficult than PSLE paper.

It’s quite difficult to calculate the T score so is it better to use XO.72 .
Based on my friend’s daughter previous T score, her calculation for Prelim exam was 277 but PSLE was 25x.

I dont think it's so much that the difficulty of the paper differs by that much.
It's more that the average and standard deviation of the schools differ.

So for a student with identical marks in School A with a lower average, the calculated school T-score would be higher.
Vice versa for the same marks in School B with a higher average - the calculated T-score in the school is lower.

So depending on how their individual schools' average/ standard deviation differs from the national cohort in PSLE, their Tscore will differ as well.

How about this T=50+10(x-m)/S? Is this going to be different from the 0.72-0.75?

x is the student’s raw score for the subject, m is the cohort’s average raw score for the subject, and S is the standard deviation (SD).

x is child' raw marks, am I correct to say that if child's raw mark is below average, the T = less than 50..I tried this and the results :yikes: or I can only say my child is very way behind :nailbite:
