I saw it too…but never thought of going for it…never go for holiday prog before …so after psle, the more wont go…prefer let kiddo rest.

Can I ask, for those having chi tuition regularly…think can drop chi tuition at sec 1 or not?

Dare not drop Chinese tuition. Coz once the results drop, very difficult to chase back. Still deciding on English tuition though...

Dear Mks, unless SAP school, OLevel program perhaps, HCL... otherwise, Chinese is how should I say it negligible. Please Drop Chinese tuition for your dc. Maths and English on the contrary are important.

Will let my kid rest after a long year of hard work and enjoy before he start a new phase of education.

Perhaps will let him learn some coding or robotics class which he has interest in.

As long got A (75) is fine? We must remember secondary is a different level. Cannot expect the kid to score high 80s to 90s like Primary school. Our expectation need to be adjust.

I sent mine for sec 1 prep for EL. Mainly because I work full time so I need to make sure she did something useful instead of staying at home. Why EL, simply because the dates did not clash with our vacation. It could have been any subject, as long as dates and price was ok.

sky, do you mean that if non SAP school, no hcl only take CL then we can drop chi tuition? Yup Eng I think better dont stop, need to write a lot yeah..Math, you think need start or we see how first..any idea of magic number, say below x% then considered struggling? dd so far could survive primary without any tuition for Ma.

DS CL is consistently 80+ but no HCL. He’s planning to take HCL in IP school. I really don’t dare drop Chinese tuition. Just slog for another 4 years, get it done and over with.
