DS CL is consistently 80+ but no HCL. He’s planning to take HCL in IP school. I really don’t dare drop Chinese tuition. Just slog for another 4 years, get it done and over with.

hahaha yes yes it should be more difficult already..primary level also only occasionally get those marks.
As long got A (75) is fine? We must remember secondary is a different level. Cannot expect the kid to score high 80s to 90s like Primary school. Our expectation need to be adjust. -

If already taking HCL in primary and able to cope then I guess it’s fine to stop tuition.

DS never take HCL before but now want to take, we let him try lor, worst case scenario if cannot cope then drop HCL, take CL will do.

If particular about the center and the time slots, better to start early. We started late in April and already all the Sunday classes were full. Then the tuition center said cos sec sch long hours and sometimes there are activities Saturdays, so Sundays slots are most popular.

I think having tuition lessons after psle should be relatively stress free… I am sure there will be lots of time to rest, since school is probably just doing all the fun stuff after their exams. Having some sort of lesson routine in place probably helps to keep their minds from going rusty, since working parents can’t keep them meaningfully occupied for the whole long holidays.

I just signed the form to continue sec1 Chinese tution . Need not refund deposit. Lol 😂. Chinese is not my Ds cup of tea . Even his sister got distinction for HCI in psle also find it not easy .
