DS CL is consistently 80+ but no HCL. Heโ€™s planning to take HCL in IP school. I really donโ€™t dare drop Chinese tuition. Just slog for another 4 years, get it done and over with.

dd cl can consider consistently at that mark too but not SAP sch level la unless something unfortunate happen..I would think quite daring to stop that's why abit worry.. but another side of me so wanted to get freed up, not only dd.

If particular about the center and the time slots, better to start early. We started late in April and already all the Sunday classes were full. Then the tuition center said cos sec sch long hours and sometimes there are activities Saturdays, so Sundays slots are most popular.

If already taking HCL in primary and able to cope then I guess itโ€™s fine to stop tuition.
DS never take HCL before but now want to take, we let him try lor, worst case scenario if cannot cope then drop HCL, take CL will do. ๐Ÿ˜“[/quote]yeah when just add on hcl, I also think need continue tuition..anyway my dd hcl just so so only de even with hcl tuition all the while ๐Ÿ˜“ many times I think she is not getting all benefits from tuition..but let's see if without tuition see how cham first.

I think having tuition lessons after psle should be relatively stress freeโ€ฆ I am sure there will be lots of time to rest, since school is probably just doing all the fun stuff after their exams. Having some sort of lesson routine in place probably helps to keep their minds from going rusty, since working parents canโ€™t keep them meaningfully occupied for the whole long holidays.

                  Hi skyminecrafter,

Is HCL in Secondary school more difficult, than HCL in primary school ?

Are there fewer or more components, in HCL (Secondary) ?
got to read up more zao bao or wan bao newspaper articles, to keep up with current affairs ?

Is there Oral ( for Sec HCL) ?

                  Thanks, for advice

do you mean that if non SAP school, no hcl (1) only take CL then we can drop chi tuition? Yup Eng I think better dont stop, need to write a lot yeah..(2) Math, you think need start or we see how first..any idea of magic number, say below x% then considered struggling? dd so far could survive primary without any tuition for Ma.
                        (1) Yes, please, Mks, let your dc Drop Chinese tuition.

                        (2) Oh no, important doesn't mean tuition; I mean, if Maths+English are borderline passes in your Sec assignments/mini tests, then you would want to put in the extra effort, cos these are important subjects. But I'm sure your dc Maths will still be powerful in Sec school.
