      There's only 8 classes, not 10
      (1)

when can SST students start taking \"Applied\" Science subjects ?
      from Sec 2 beginning Semester 1 or Sec 3 Term 1 ?

(Applied Science subjects include Design Studies, Fundamentals of Electronics, Media Studies, Biotechnology and Environmental Science & Technology)

      (2)

maximum, how many \"Applied\" Science subjects can a student take ?
      is it three ?

how do students select \"Applied\" subjects ?
Teachers assign them based on their Year-end results or students select, based on their own passion (interests) ?

      Thank you

In a class of 25, approximately
what is the ratio of boys and girls, like ?

I read somewhere that Sec 1 has 10 classes, hence I thought class size is 20 since SST only accepts 200 students.

There's only 8 classes, not 10[/quote]I see. Can't remember where I read about that 10 classes from, haha.

25 is still a good size.

          ratio of boys : girls is approximately ( 3 : 1 )

means inside Sec 1 cohort 200 students, there are around ( 150 boys + 50 girls ), distributed into 8 classes

            1. Applied Subjects (A.S) starts from Sec 3 Term 1.

            2. All students will select 1 A.S at the end of Sec 2.

under Infocomm Technology sub-domain, besides doing Java / python programming (coding), or web based or mobile phone application design, can students also do "Artificial Intelligence" module (specialization) ?

under Design Technology, can students get chance to design & build different type of robot to benefit mankind, apart from those robot seen in "kopi-tiam", moving around non-stop picking up food tray after people had eaten (consumed) food ?

Not sure about that, you may refer to this https://parents.ssts.edu.sg/announcements to search for more info but this site was discontinued about half year ago.

I think going for the briefing in Oct will provide a clearer pic to the queries that you have unless you need these info to make decision on the CO. Then it will be good to call the General Office

There will be a new course “Practical Introduction to Electronics” organised by Geylang CC. The date is 19 October 9:30AM – 12:30PM, which is after PSLE. This course should be interesting to students who are going to SST next year and want to learn the basics of electronics. Can start to learn some basics of electronics and spend useful time by doing some experiments in the long holidays!
