ya was surprised for the amount of work given in a neighbourhood school like this. 1st day of sch was given penmaship, then subsequent days more homework, followed by spelling list. surprise their spelling list quite of some standard, inclusive of single words, double words and sentences... But so far the kids in his class seem to cope well enough. 😎

Ya the virus bugs in the air, ds told me couple of classmates also MC past few days....

Their school just subscribed a new portal AsknLearn, seems quite a good and useful portal for the kids and school. the kids can post blogs in them also. However think the school is still trying out this new system. πŸ™‚

Ya, the Ask N Learn is a new portal. Last year they were using Lead.com Personally, I prefer the Lead.com as its looks more interesting and has more stuff. Ask N Learn nothing much yet, guess her teacher still need some time as teacher seems to have many things to cover in class.

Now P1 standard seems quite high. Heard from a mother during the parent seminar that her child also always doing lots of homework at home till quite late. Wonder if parents who can’t help in school work, how?

ya quite lot of homework, i can say. Seems that neighbourhood school are more taxing then elite schools huh? :? because hardly heard those elite schools are having lots of homework

me had not gone in Lead.com before, hence not able to compare both. But for Ask n Learn, I find it quite interesting also because they have many topics to learn about for Eng n Maths, including grammar. Think the kids can write blogs also, saw many started for P4-6, but simple ones. Maybe their teachers started them with it, viewing from the stuff they wrote. 😎 I'm looking forward to the teachers to start their own blogs too, or something about their classes. Just like Endeavour Pri's blogs that includes many classes' activites. It will be good to let the parents know what they kids are doing in schools.

Neighbourhood and elite school not much different in terms of homework but i think it is the name. :?

πŸ˜„ I would like to know more about what happened in class too. Maybe the teachers can post some photographs of my child and I can download to complete my album. :celebrate:
