          PSLE always ends the day before schools celebrate Children's Day. So, since Children's Day falls on 09 Oct 2020, written papers will start on 01 October 2020.

            Any idea why the children’s day in 2020 is 9 oct?
            Isn’t it always the first Friday of Oct which should be 2 oct in 2020?

                Oral: Thur, Fri of Wk after National Day
                LC: Fri of Term 4 Wk 1
                Written Examination: Begins on Thur of Term 4 Wk 3 (2019 earlier by 1 week - Children's Day fall on Fri of Term 4 Wk 3)
                PSLE Marking: Mon to Thur of Term 4 Wk 6 (2019 earlier by 1 week)

              • 2016 -->
                LC Fri 16 Sep
                Written Paper Thur 29 Sep

                2017 -->
                LC Fri 15 Sep
                Written Paper Thur 28 Sep

                2018 -->
                LC Fri 14 Sep
                Written Paper Thur 27 Sep

                2019 -->
                LC Fri 20 Sep
                Written Paper Thur 26 Sep
              • [/list]The usual practice is to have a week's gap between LC and Written Examinations. However, Term 4 in 2019 is only 9 weeks instead of the usual 10 weeks.

                Since Term 4 in 2020 will be 10 weeks again, it is highly likely that they will revert to the \"1 week gap\" arrangement. This probably explains why Children's Day is pushed backwards - to ensure that it's after PSLE has completed.

                Thus, the probable dates are:

                  2nd last day of PSLE 2019! Haven’t been here for a while already, came back after some PSLE Math paper 2 questions surfaced all over internet… it was a tough Math paper this year.

                    After reading the \"Student’s mother writes in to question the Education minister on why the PSLE has to be so difficult\". I am really getting very worried.

                    Already he is a slow learner. And his nonchalant attitude also a big problem. And to think PSLE is just next year.

                    He is already very busy this year with lots of supplementary and tuition. I cannot imagine there is still quite a lot of new topics to be taught next year. For his standard, he will take a long time to understand.

                    THere is only so much i can do. Sigh 😞

                      Yeah the Maths questions going viral sound challenging indeed.

                      Xueyan- cheer up! Guess that’s why all of us are in the forum ... to share tips and support. It’s a 11-12 months journey, maybe work on his weakest concept types/ topics during the hols or aim for more accuracy in Paper 1 first.
                      Try not to be too stressed as it might pass on to the child - at least that’s how I try to tell myself too!
                      For me, son’s weakest is Chinese esp compo, compre & oral 😞 Will revise P4 & P5 again with him after SA2 during this year end.
