Any recommendation for agency that provides indonesian maid who are non-muslim and can eat pork ?

reason being I wish to make cooking simple for the maid as well, else she’d have to cook pork and non pork dishes.

spent sunday afternoon looking though indonesian maids bio. some knows how to speak cantonese and mandarin and english.

for those family that speaks chinese dialects at home, would you feel that having an outsider who knows your dialect is not much of privacy ?

Every family decides what’s comfortable vs need for good communication esp when usually our elderlies are left struggling to obstruct maids if they can’t speak English. Every family hv different needs & preferences.

Those who speak Cantonese either previously worked in Sporean Cantonese speaking families or M’sia, HK or Macau. There are those who had worked in Taiwan or Msia & may u’stand some Hokkien tho may not all speak the dialect but may be able to rattle off Mandarin as it’s most spoken in their daily work environment.

As for our family preference, we agreed not to hired maids who speak Mandarin or dialects, but when discover they ustand, we’re a generation who speaks other dialects (Hokkien, Teiches, Hakka) to deter eavesdropping just for ease of comm in the family. Hopefully.

Ever family hv their own preferences. Hope to hear more other KSP’s preferences.

            Yippee!

MOM finally will put some responsibilities on maid agencies to reduce rampant transferring of maids at will & to ensure they do due diligence to u’stand eyers requirements before placing a helper to their client. In addition, to refund 50% of placement fee I helper’s do not stay with family for stipulated time frame. Happy to note as there are just as many responsible agencies as there are those who push maids out w/o responsibility to match & re-cycle helpers with incentive to gain in new commissions which are charged to both eyers & maids requiring transfers. Agents do not suffer but both eyer & maids suffer fincisl losses.

Hope to see more retention of responsible maid agents & reduce rate of maids demanding transfers at will.

NOTE :- I’m well aware there are agents in this KSP Forum who masquerade as satisfied clients recommending so called “good agencies”. It’s so easy to spot them.

at present, agents collect fees from employers and employees ie maids. They need to play a greater role to ensure a good match.

In force only in late 2020, but guess all parties more alert now & eyers will scrutinize agencies & asks more questions. I’m sure agencies will be putting in clauses in their agency/eyer contract to try limit or protect their interests to void the 50%. But also wondering if there will be conditions laid out to ‘force’ eyers to keep maid (even if they’re terrible ones that can’t keep for more than even a day) type of situation. Then it can cause other problems eventually as a backlash. Sigh! Better not think too much. 船到桥头自然直. We’ll see.

For installation of CCTV at home to monitor maid, where do you install the CCTV ? hall, bedrooms and kitchen ? of course, I understand for privacy, it is not to be installed in maids room (if she’s given a room) or toilets.

Is it CCTV can link to our mobile handphones so that employers can view while they are at work

I installed cctv (Xiaomi Home) in the living room and dad’s bedroom. Yes, I can view the happenings using my hp.

My helper is aware of the cctv and said ok with it. Before employing her, we already told her we would have cctv at home to benefit both dad and her.
