So happy to have found another gang who likes Nicholas. Yeah!!!

Yup, I got the whole collection. Unfortunately, one book that I ordered from Amazon had a missing Nicholas...there is a lobang where the picture should have been. 😢 😢 But I'm taking it as my special edition.

There is no box set (unfortunately), and it all comes in hardcovers (aka pricier). But I would say it's an extremely fun read that you can do again and again.

Please note, (and I have to go back and check). There are 2 titles wherein the stories are the same. I think it's Nicholas on Holiday and ??. A bit buey song cos the stories are pretty much similiar.

Anyway, noted that the books are pretty available in library. So can go and try - like then buy. šŸ˜›

Although I would broadly say Nicholas would appeal to boys and parents more. Then again, my son (who loves animal kaiser) also enjoys my naughty little sister books (about a big sister and her naughty little sis). So if your child likes to read, just try lah.

I love Nicholas! Was introduced to its Chinese translation when I was in secondary school - found it so funny! I now have both Nicholas on Vacation and Nicholas in Trouble, but haven't found time for DD to read them yet. Was hoping to buy the first two books of the series from Borders recently, but got to know about the sale too late! 😢

hquek, maybe you are referring to Nicholas on Vacation?

O-oh, which 2 stories are the same?

Yes am interested to know which are the repeats so I don't get them :).

wondering if it's nicholas on vacation and nicholas on holiday. lemme go check and come back.

HUH? got chinese version somemore. All in, I think book cover is very important....I'm very shallow and it's one of the first thing to attract me to see if I like what's inside. Plus the author is Goscinny. Am glad I took the risk and buy that first book. šŸ˜›

heh heh....yah, I read those also - but never collect. Love the way those Gauls steamroll past the Romans.

Also read Tintin books - still recall hanging in the library for those Tintin books in Primary 6 (when I should be mugging for psle...no wonder my results not good).

Yes, I still have the book from secondary school - goes to show how much I liked it...

Those days, we got to buy some chinese storybooks during the chinese lessons (at our choice, of course). Maybe our teachers know that we wouldn't be buying on our own.

                        Book cover? Me too!
