Actually the three schools do coordinate their teaching in secondary school. They've been doing this for several years, since the programme came into being and even before. The HODs have regular meetings to consult, share and coordinate. And yes, I have insight into the schools. But since I've been asked not to comment and 'intervene', I shall decline from sharing more information.
in Upper (Sec 3 and 4) IP, the crucial years of foundation builtMyPillow\" post_id=\"1941756\" time=\"1571291443\" user_id=\"70594:
Sometimes, retain may be better for students if their foundations are not strong - J2 will be difficult & intense as its A level year. Teachers should be a fair mix with experiences - moreover Ejc is IP sch, i m confident MOE send well mixed pool of educators there.
not sure whether
1) is it due to 3 feeder sch, 3 diff standards pouring in ejc ?
2) IP subject content vs O level - which grp has been prep with better exam /A level foundations - how is the disparity in standards? - all these can be factors to impact on teachings by teachers ..
It is indeed a \"worry\" factor if the retain % is high :?
shouldn't these three IP schools HOD (SCGS, SNGS, CHS) have come together, synchronized in harmony what they want to teach (cover) inside their Upper Sec IP curriculum, so that when students come over into Year 5 EJC, everyone is on common ground ?
is only those JAE (OP) students, that need to catch up with whatever had been taught before previously, in IP (Y3 and Y4), because that was what the JAE students had missed out, while they were busy preparing for GCE \"O\" level -

Dear lord, how am I trying to stop you from finding out the truth? By all means do what you must to ascertain the truth, if the truth is what you seek to calm your unsettled state of mind.
We have heard u, jtoh, loud and clear.jtoh\" post_id=\"1941918\" time=\"1571372500\" user_id=\"19505:
I am merely stating my opinion that based on simple logistics and common sense, no JC will retain 100+ students. I think that most people would be able to see that logically, no JC would retain that number of students. But for those who aren't able to, nothing wrong with an injection of sensibility. While this is a public forum, we should exercise some discretion before posting or repeating comments which amount to scaremongering. If some choose to cast logic to the wind, then by all means call the school, as some are wont to do as witnessed by their frequent calls to many schools.
As mentioned before, jtoh, u do not understand the mental state of mind for 2019 p6 parents exercising dsa option now over the week end, before Mon (21 Oct)
We are just trying to establish the truth, that's all.
You mean, in the position of a counsellor, u want to obstruct us, from knowing the truth ?
I have nothing more to say.
Period -
Sorry for saying this, but appreciate if kindly step aside, jtoh,
because none of the above comments made by u, is going to help any of us here, 2019 P6 parents making dsa decision now over weekend
Now what we need is the Truth. Nothing but the truth, to above claim. That’s all. Hopefully, what that person claimed, is false

Hi Phtthp,
I am not sure about SNGS and CHS - as for SCGS, the Open House is on 21 Nov 2019. There is always an EJC representative, or some SCGS IP representative who will be able to answer questions on EJC. Perhaps you may wish to attend, and find out more? -

It's rude of you to make such comments. We are all here to share and to make sense into information that have been shared. You certainly have no right to tell or request other members to step aside. This, and earlier posts that you made.

The more comments u made, instead of helping us, u \"pour\" oil to the fire. Period
If the situation is so urgent and crucial as you put it, please call the school directly. You have been asking for the truth yet you failed to see the logic. The whole discussion started from this:erikaa123\" post_id=\"1941723\" time=\"1571282332\" user_id=\"181130:
It's your perogative if you chose to only believe in the above. However, telling other members trying to put some sense into the \"belief\" to step aside is not something a KSP.com Grandmaster should do.ST reported 14/1/17 EJC has 440 IP and 210 JAE for pioneer batch.
2018 A level cohort was 529.
So about 129 retained in J1. Thats many!
The current P while in SRJC was well known to retain J1.
Read extracted ST news:
\"The school now has about 440 Joint Integrated Programme students from Catholic High School, CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School and Singapore Chinese Girls' School. Three were offered places via the Direct School Admission Exercise. On Feb 3, they will be joined by 210 students coming in through the O levels.\"
Please be careful in what you post. -

If it’s so urgent, then the stakeholders should just drop by the school this afternoon and seek a clarification regarding the numbers.
If they don’t bother to do that, then I can safely infer that it’s not urgent enough. -
Hi qms,
Sorry, since u said above that "I failed to see logic", based on what u have analysed so far, is above claim false then ? -
Hi Phtthp,
Don't panic too much
For these three schools, I think it's still 'easier' to switch from IP to OLP than the other way round? -
phtthp\" post_id=\"1941934\" time=\"1571376952\" user_id=\"35251:
As far as I am concerned,
Hi qms,
Sorry, since u said above that \"I failed to see logic\", based on what u have analysed so far, is above claim false then ?
1. The quoted number of 440 IP + 210 JAE students is unverified.
2. Hence, you cannot conclude that more than 100 students were retained at JC1.
3. Since EJC was at Mt Sinai, with the limited space, the school wouldn't be able to take in usual number of JC1 students in 2018. Did you hear anything about the school's reduced intake in 2018? It wouldn't escape you if the school had taken in less students in 2018, given your resourcefulness in obtaining information. What's more, by more than 100 places! Hence, what jtoh said makes sense to me.jtoh\" post_id=\"1941842\" time=\"1571316844\" user_id=\"19505:
I look at this issue from the information given so far. That's why I said logical. I did not say the claim was false. No JC will retain 100+ students. Simple logistics will not allow it. Unless they take in 100 less students from the incoming batch. (And why would they do that?)
