To me, a RGS girl is a confident and self-assured girl that has the courage and strength to pursue her goals and aspirations, both as an individual and as a team (sisters-in-learning, and sisters-at-heart), as well as to contribute to the greater good of the nation and community. The school has a rich and vibrant culture with girls coming from different family background, interests, talents, and idiosyncrasies, providing many diverse opportunities for all through different special programs, research studies (RS/RA), various competitions, camps, VIA, CCAs, house events, etc. etc. It believes in the potential of each and every girl, and that each girl should have a sufficient runway to explore, discover, and develop her own strengths and interests.
Hi RGS parents, I'd like to ask, what in your opinion defines the RGS girl and culture of the school?
Sure I've been to the open house, heard the talks, talked to existing girls and looked at school motto etc. But really would like to hear from parents.
How kind of young lady does RGS shape your daughter into? -
Yesterday, my daughter attended her last event, prom night in RGS. She cried a bucket. After the event, some of her classmates came over to have a sleep over. I guest, she has a wonderful time in RGS. As a parent for a child in RGS, I too have to deal with the withdrawals syndrome, 4 years seem to be too short… I have no regret of sending her RGS. I guest my daughter has been blessed of choosing a school that gave her lots of memorable and joyful experience.

The brand new campus is awesome !
anyone know how was whopping $ 90 million funded, to build the new RGS site in Braddell ?
Is it half paid by RGS alumni network through Independent school fund raising donation, while the other half paid by Moe (each side paid half )?

Hi may I know which is the 3rd language day for the sec 1? What time does it end? Thanks!
-
Sorry is the 3rd language held at Bishan or Newton centre?
-
If u read the source RGS Secondary 1 manual, the booklet inside stated, informed students that
3rd language (Spanish, French, Japanese, German) is held on every Friday during regular Term time, to either MOELC centre (at Bishan or Newton).
You can pay one-way school bus Transport provided, since there is an annual small sum payment required.
School bus transport is one way, either depart from school premises 2 pm for 2.30 pm 3rd language lesson starting, or depart 2.30 pm school compound for 3 pm lesson starting, depending on which MOELC centre u are going to
Anything not sure about Sec 1, can read content, inside the booklet -

I think the main bulk is from MOE, only the non std facilities such as students services hub is borne by RGS through fund raising.
