Memory is a little foggy now but I think we got the uniform before reporting day, and the books on reporting day itself. Reason being we didn't want to wait to queue up for the measurements. Books were pre-packed so the purchase was fast. Iirc, bookshop staff mentioned we could return those items we didn't want later on for refund.
Going overseas soon. Is it likely that bookshop has already stock up year One books and PE shirts/shorts? Are we allowed to come by to school to enquire? If we buy after Sec 1 Registration Day, is it advisable? Little concern if certain titles of books may run out or sizes of uniform might be limited. Is the PE shirt design for 2020 the same as this year? Thanks
There is no news that there's any change in the design of the PE attire.
Is your boy excited for his new school? If he's the extrovert type, he'll love the school in no time. If he's more inclined towards the quiet side, slowly he'll be nurtured to become more vocal.

The A level system requiring the contrasting subject was implemented quite a few years ago, and was to try to make students less \"narrow\". Whether it's worked or not, I can't say. To enter Medicine in local universities now, the prerequisites are Chem and one other science, not necessarily Bio. You can look on the universities' websites for details of prerequisites. One of my daughter's classmates didn't take Bio and is studying Medicine now.
I am really surprised that no triple science is being offered at JC level. I remember during my time (loooong ago) that triple science is a pre-requisite for entering medicine. I was from triple science so many of my classmates are Doctors now. So now medicine faculty accepts what kind of science combination? Bio + chem? No need physics anymore ar? -
Thank you all!

Can seek the advice of parents of senior boys if thereβs a need to keep the Y1 and Y2 books? Can we recycle them or donate them away? Not sure if they still need the books and notes for upper Sec? Thanks!

Hi parents,
My boy said the literature teacher asked them to buy a book call Julius Caesar for year 2, which is not in the booklist. I googled and found so many versions. Any advice exactly which one the sch is using?
