So far, visited several Open house for OP and IP schools before, they will automatically provide small bottle of mineral water.
Bring your own water bottles!

On RGS school website,
At least
they should have informed, alerted parents earlier before hand, to bring their own water bottle instead.
School ought to have communicated this clearly, to all visitors beforehand
Reason ?
Because
After tour around the big campus, walked from one building far to another building, walking far, many visitors are tired and thirsty.
NO food, never mind, but need water ! -
Guess the school has went far far ahead. No paper plates or plastic utensils provided at the previous school event at old campus too. We were told to purchase lunch boxes and tumblers on the spot. Personally no issue for me especially it is good initiative. When don’t mind, it does not matter.

Hi,
Did any parent managed to download the open house slides (55 pages) during the open house? Did not realise I did not saved the file completely… thanks! -
Honestly what is the big deal. There are water coolers around…i helped myself to it this morning, no queue at all. They gave free ice cream. Is good to use less of plastics anyway. My girl, i have taught her to auto bring a bottle of her own water regardless whether schools give out bottles of mineral water or not (cos she is a water buffalo…lol).

RGS was awarded with BCA “Green Mark Award for New Buildings – Platinum” for the new campus.
Attended my girl’s founder’s day award ceremony, the after award buffet was served with reusable food containers and cutlery, no bottled drinks served anymore too.

There should be water coolers in the canteen although the canteen is not opened, right? :? It is basic logical thinking.

I like that the school is doing its bit for the environment by cutting back on plastics and use of AC.

Does anybody know, with the new campus, if rgs will increase its intake for sec 1 next year? This is a question i forgot to ask. I only know they have 12 classes of about 32 students each.

Considering RGS as an option for my girl. As a parent I'd would like to hear views about the journey in RGS. Mainly on top of school fees and supplementary fees, what other costs are involved? How much should we budget for learning journeys/tours/camps etc? Would it be challenging to cope up with the curriculum? Can the girl can survive without tuition? Thanks in advance 😊
