I think for this year, there will be many surprises on results day. More so than other years.

Unfortunately, as in any t-score scenario, it will always be 有人欢喜, 有人愁.

I think the 2 extremes at the top and bottom going to be much wider than last year......

Talking about surprise, the English PSLE compo topic \"Celebration\", was indeed a surprise !

its a tough topic. This topic is like frying fried rice. Simple dish that can include simple to super atas ingredients..... everyone can relate to it but its a damn tough and difficult dish to make for it to be tasty and delicious.

        Very apt analogy!

Please enlighten why top and bottom will be much wider than last year?

Do u think the top 4 schools will have higher COP than last year? Is 260 a safe bet or just borderline? Hearsay rumours RGS COP will be damn high?

Received these in my WhatsApp group. Please don’t blow up the stress. The kids staying alive is more important. All the best.

with several cases of kids who end their lives over academic results, their mental well-being is more important than grades. they have put in their best effort…tomorrow is a day to celebrate. be there for them when they collect their results.

Becos it seems like 2019 is a tougher year compared to 2018. In a tough year, logically i think the distribution will be more skewed. So the really smart ones will still be scoring like no tomorrow but at the expense of the not so strong ones. Maybe can also call it that the good ones could be killing the not so strong ones at their expense.

I have identical twins. In same sch but some subjects they are in different class cos of banding. I think every kid has their own capability and strengths. As for mine, one is stronger in academic while another one is strong is cca and also she is monitress. The one with stronger acad, she is placed in top class for some subjects while another one every year receive awards on stage, awards like whole level Character Champion award, Holistic award and even got the Edusave award every year end. I think God is pretty fair bah... Every kid is unique ya. 🙂

I remember our teacher dont tell which are best classes during end of P4 class allocation but the kids will know somehow which are the ones at P5/6.

at this time tomorrow, maybe some will know results already..
Thank you MrsKiasu, I appreciate your kind words. Good luck to you and your dc tomorrow!

Ours is a neighbourhood school, somehow, among the kids, they already know which are the top classes, even though they are named not in order. I believe all schools including most neighbourhood schs have top classes.

In our case, I wasn't happy that kids get to know the class allocation before parents, because they receive the report book first. I regret that I wasn't able to speak to my child and explain about this change and why this outcome is actually better for my child beforehand. One may argue that I could have done the pre empting in hindsight anyway but how to tell a child that \"I think you are not going to get into this or that class because....\" before u know for sure. Esp borderline case.

To all parents whom kids are receiving results tomorrow, try to talk to them beforehand. Explain about sometimes hipcups happens and things may not go well as we would expect. Remember to put on your best expression as your child esp the one who is disappointed will be looking at our face and hear our voices for comforting.

For those who did well, remember there will be other kids at some corner feeling lousy and out of place.

P.S. you are right abt the username, it seems like it so happens, though not intentional. 😄
