There are a handful of schools that have a fixed COP. To keep the standard high. Maybe PSLEFrantic is referring to one of those.
Even affiliation COP will move - demand vs supply concept ...
Catholic High School (IP stream): fixed at 254?
CHIJ St Nicholas Girls School (IP stream): fixed at 255?
Is this for real? -

You mean come down?
The answer is simple. Everyone, including everyone here, refers to last year’s COP as a reference when making their selection. As a result, if you are 5 points off, you will never choose the school. If everyone who’s off the previous year’s COP doesn’t choose the school, the COP will never come down. In a way, the COP becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.PSLEfrantic\" post_id=\"1947496\" time=\"1574301426\" user_id=\"181521:
Sometimes I cant help but wonder why some schools die die follow the previous year COP. My son took his psle in 2017, his score was 2 points off a school he wanted but could not get in. Some schools also remain their COP for quite long, that does not seem to be realistic. Not sure accurate or not.
P/S: if you want the COP to come down, just spread a rumor about the school not producing / principal no good / teachers hopeless. If you can drive enough hysteria, confirm / guarantee / chop the COP will raise like crazy

My mistake. Boo boo.
ACS Independent, Express stream COP for affiliated boys is fixed at 235.
IB stream can vary year to year. But usually in the range 254-256. -

ACSI is real as far as I know.
SNGS also fixed right? They don’t take any pity cases.
Wasnt Cat High 253 for psle 2017?
How can COP be fixed? It should fluctuate with demand and supply. -

It can change (and has changed) too but will be made known to you when you are in P4. So when in lower pri, you still wont know what your own affiliation cop will be until it is locked in for you when you are in P4, that was our experience.
