Open house is on 16 Nov 2019. I have a child currently attending BPGHS, regretted sending, school has limited communications with parents, just 1 newsletter to parents for the whole year, no info regarding o level result, everything is hush hush. School only conducts end of year exam with assessments throughout the year. These assessments can be tests or project works and usually the students will not fare badly. Hence, the teachers are not able to identify the weaker students using this method of assessment. You will receive the bomb at the end of year when they have to take the full exam papers and then realised the child is so unprepared. Teachers are not as passionate or committed. They do not conduct remedial lessons and expect students to approach them for consultation. Sec school students are not that matured as JC/tertiary students, they are tired after school, who care about consultation unless the child is self motivated. And most teachers do not give out their contact numbers and your email to them may not received any replies. Heard from my child that many of the history teachers are leaving so next year sec 3 will not get to choose pure history. Then there is a Chinese teacher who goes on MC frequently. She can even tell the students she has no mood to teach. So can the students tell her no mood to study? What a joke! Of course, there are some great and committed teachers in the school. My child’s chinese teacher in her lower sec class is good, when she sensed that my child is not focusing and her grade is slipping, she contacted me immediately to find out the reasons and see how she can help. But this kind of teacher is the minority in the school!

            Dear parents

If your dc is studying at Bt Panjang High, could you share why he/she choose this school, and good things & not so good things that you and your DC feel about it?
            Thanks so much.

Hi, would like to seek opinions of BPGHS ? What is the school culture?

I would like to know the plus and minus of the school.

                Warmest.
                Thank you

Hi, would like to know more about the NA in BPGHS. Does the school and teachers put in efforts to the NA classes and students or they allocate their resources to the express classes only? Are the NA students motivated and well behaved?

Any parents had any insight to share?

                  Thank you

For so many years and I see just 9 pages of reviews about the school. Look like the support group is not strong in promoting the school. Hope to read more feedbacks from parents about the school but can not find much info.

Given that the COP have been more or less the same for the last 10+ years, I think that's the best 'feedback' and affirmation that you can receive.

Frankly a good school doesn't need feedback. For those staying in the West/North, BPGHS is quite well known. I believe it's not difficult to get more feedbacks from parent if we really ask for. Also to be honest, humans tend to give negative feedback which is probably why we can't seem to find as many as you wanted. Imagine if we see 100 feedbacks from parents citing this school is so good, fantastic, no horse run etc., eventually we may tend to not believe. Just my thoughts. Cheers!
