Hi all,
Saw \"Appreciation of Chinese Culture\" under their list of chinese language offered.
Is that equivalent to the normal Chinese standard?

No, it is not normal chinese. It is non examinable enrichment subject for students to engage more in Chinese. CCHM wants all students to take Higher Chinese, even if Moe does not qualify the student. The school believes in its ability to nurture the students in the Chinese subject, and sees it as its mission not to shortchange students in Higher Chinese.

Oh man... in that case my kid shouldn't apply to this school, cos his Chinese is so-so only. He will be struggling if he goes to this school.

Hi, my boy got 252 for his psle. Between Chung Cheng Main and Nan Chiau High which is better? My boy likes Chung Cheng Main alot he said has chemistry with the sch. On the other hand, Nan Chiau is opposite my house only. Hope to be able to hear more opinions from everybody. Much appreciated. Tqvm.

Personally I would have chosen nan chiau instead of Chung Cheng main as distance is a critical consideration noting that secondary school kids spend longer hours in school on weekly basis.

Yes, choose Nan Chiau High because is just opposite your house, so convenient. Everyday can sleep longer hours than others, so good !
