Hi, does anyone know about the school hours for Victoria School? For Sec 1, How many days in a week are their long hours, say till 5pm or so? Does any of your dc travel from sengkang/punggol to VS?
Checked public transport, the fastest route would be nel to serangoon then change to circle line and drop at paya lebar to change to 135 or 155 and its 16 stops to the school. Is the jam along the stretch bad in the morning, would anyone know?.Thank you so much in advance! -

As JC students studying in Eunoia Junior College at temporary Mount Sinai site is ready to shift into awesome, brand new premises at Bishan Park, end of this year (2019),
This being said, does that mean that someone who scores less than 250, for exampleDino\" post_id=\"1948054\" time=\"1574416158\" user_id=\"6726:

nobody pre-set the T-score to qualify for IP.
Based on historical COP data, 252 has a good chance of getting into the IP courses at TJC, SJC or RV.
But if this year's cohort did very well (hypothetical situation, dun scare yourself huh), it is possible tat 253 is the minimum COP to get into any IP course, leaving students with score of 252 unable to get into any IP school.
240 - 249 can also choose IP in their choices?
probably, COP to join Sec 1 2020 (IP) into (SCGS, St Nick and Catholic High) may rise
last year (2018) batch COP for
St Nick (IP) = 255
Catholic High (IP) = 254
SCGS (IP) = SCGS (OP) = 252
====================
St Nick (OP) = 253
Catholic High (OP) = 251[/quote]but this moving plan should have been known 1 or 2 years earlier and should it already factored in in the last 1 or 2 years COP? St. Nicks is one of my DD choice and this feedback is much appreciated. Thanks. -

We tried 135 last evening to the Katong area and ended up at vjc in the end. Both going there and back seemed to have quite moderate traffic. But it's the only time I've been there.

Got it now, thank you so much to clear my confusion.
Her second choice sch MIGHT NOT have a higher COP in the CURRENT year. The COP was for previous years, and no school pre-sets the COP for this year.honeybeel\" post_id=\"1948486\" time=\"1574522775\" user_id=\"3056:
I se some comment above stating that the choice priorities is not important, so I have a question
My kid got above 260which is above the COP of the school of her choice
A school COP 258
B school COP 256
1st choice: B
2nd choice:A
So she will be allocate to her 1st choice straight away eventhough her 2nd choice has a higher cut off point?
Lets say XYZ school plans to take in 280 students. The current year's COP for XYZ school will be the Tscore of the 280th admitted student. -

Can consider Commonwealth, Fuhua or Swiss Cottage if you don't mind travelling a bit

My boy from a SAP Pri sch, and got score 264 with Merit in HCL.
We are unable to make a decision between Dunman High and VS (IP). We love the culture of both schools. We want him to grow up to be a more well-rounded gentleman; and also strong in Chinese. VS is also more conveniently located. But at the back of my mind didn’t want to waste the chance of getting him into a SAP school.
Any advise please? -

Sky, thank you!MrsKiasu:MKS, this article:-

may be of help explaining affiliation. Scroll to the table called Computation of Bonus Points, see No4.
If you Google JAE Information Booklet 2019, you can find an updated table (similar to that one posted in mothership) on Pdf Page21.
Do you have any idea where to check for the JC affiliations ?
Anyone has any idea if the bonus point for affiliated JC is commonly used for offset as I see there is a max 4 points from few categories..
Taking Malay for O is worth a try? (since can get points)
How would we know which CCA will give us points arh?
Usually, which categories are more commonly used?
Any info is much appreciated. Thank you. -

2 bonus points for admission to the affiliated JC after O levels if you choose it as the 1st choice or 1st and 2nd choiceMrsKiasu\" post_id=\"1948505\" time=\"1574529350\" user_id=\"43981:
came across a listing on affiliated JCs to some secondary schools..I wonder what differences would that make for a secondary school with an affiliated JC as compared to one that has none? Is that an important consideration?
