Hi, may I know typically, what’s the number sets of uniform to get? How about PE attire as well?
It depends on your washing schedule 😉 I only bought two sets of pinafore + blouse + PE t shirt + shorts and one culottes, because I wash every two days and it worked out fine (students can wear culottes to school on Wednesday). I do have friends who bought 3 sets of pinafore + blouse + PE t shirt instead, so it is up to you.

Thanks a ton to all parents who have openly shared your views. Your views are definitely helpful to decide in considering RGS as an option. Ive one more question regarding third language. If the girl is interested to choose Chinese, will she be able to cope given the fact that we are non Chinese family?
Should be fine. My dd has non-Chinese friends who do CSP, and they seem to be enjoying themselves. The school organized trips for these students to places like Chinatown and tea houses, and sing xingyao songs to help bring the language learning to life.

I think most students in CSP are non-Chinese? Because most Chinese students won't be taking CSP! As a 3rd language, the expectations are nothing like O levels. My daughter's good friend is non-Chinese, and took CSP and enjoyed it. It gave them something else to talk about too.

And also depends on ironing schedule? 😂 my niece has 5 sets because ironing is done once a week. They dont want the maid to have the stress of remembering which kind of uniform to wear on which day for the kids in different schools.

slmkhoo, did you come across/heard of any of your dd's friends, like a local taking MSP and are they enjoying the course..heard any difficulties if were to sit for exam?

on the CSP, did your dd's friend sat for exam and how she finds it generally? or just study for 'fun' just skip the exam?

                    OT:

@MKS. MSP has high standards - I was recommended by their teachers to gauge the initial standard by flipping a P5 Malay language textbook.

The non Chinese students (whom we know) taking CSP are also serious about their learning & do go for proper exams. They would try to use Chinese in their daily communications with their Chinese schoolmates.

Third languages (even Malay or CSP) are not play-play my dear, you cannot skip depending on your convenience lah.
