SCGS IP quite consistent at 252 for past few years.
SCGS O level may fluctuate between 250-252.
I can understand a score of 250 is really neither here or there, sits on COP of OP/IP.

For those who join SCGS O level, if the child does well, one may seek to go on IP track at the end of sec 2, beauty of a Dual track school. SCGS O level program is really strong, friend’s daughter did well in OP and headed to Hwa Chong.

According to my DD1, quite a handful managed to seek transfer into the OP (joint SC in sec 2). But she don’t recall seeing new faces (from other schools) joining the IP stream (in sec 2).

It's the beauty of a dual track school but also the limitation to outsiders.

If a place in IP stream is available, it will likely result in a parallel transfer (from OP). Thus, less likely for 'outsiders' to transfer into the IP stream.

But anyone can join in sec 3. Isnt it?

RI at #6 is just a statement that the 6th choice doesn’t really matter. In fact, if your score is more than good enough for the first choice, the next 5 choices won’t really matter as well

My opinion only, decision is up to you and your DD --> Better try than never try (SCGS IP). Ask how you or your DD would you feel if actual COP for SCGS IP goes to 250 when the posting results are out and you didn't give it a shot. Your choice (4) is a good safety net. Even if your DD got rejected if cutoff is 252 or 251, you will still likely get Chung Cheng. But if you got bounced out at 250 because of some decimal points, you can still try to appeal and your case would be stronger with SCGS IP as a (first) choice and I believe schools will make an overall assessment with other 250-appeals on case-by-case basis like the kid's usual P6 performance, with HCL vs without HCL, proximity from home, ranking of choices (maybe), etc.

Hi, we r thinking whether to put either HCI as our 1st option and trying to find out more about HCI. Can anyone advise on the

1) school hours ( i.e. what time need to report to school?) The travelling time is approx 1 hour from my place so need to estimate the timing to prepare for school.
2) number of CCA required to take up for their students
3) approx. number of days in a week to stay back for CCA

If a child joins a SAP school, will taking a third language benefit or add an disadvantage (i.e. need more time on travelling to language centre and learning the language)

If my ds choose Spanish, which centre does he go to? How often and how long per week? Are the lesson conducted on weekdays or weekends?

Cutoff point... Can only know after posting results are out and i think one may need to call up the school to check what min T-score is allowed for appeal cases.

For appeal,
the minimum Tscore required is the Cut off point, itself

Are we only allowed to appeal our 1st choice? What happen if actually I meet the cut off point for 2nd choice, can we appeal? Thks.
