      Hi all,

I am new here and I would like to know how parents deal with the daughter’s armpit hair, since the uniform is considered sleeveless. Do you suggest to get professional help to remove armpit hair?

      Thank you.

😂😂 now we’re starting to get into the realm of the unspeakables .... 😂😂

Hi octbride, I got them from Rakuten Japan. If you google “sanitary panties” you should get quite a few hits. Locally I think the Laurier brand carries some, but I like the Pied Clair brand made for teenages.

Actually now that someone mention it…I noticed my gals were sitting fine/prim and proper in their pri sch but not sure why when they came into girls sch, the sitting posture a bit awkward for me lol… that’s why everyday must wear shorts to be safe on public transport …

That’s the problem … girls school then become not so self-aware. So must ban them from shorts to learn!

Yes some sec 2 syllabus will be taught at sec 1. But some sec 1 syllabus will also be taught at sec 2.[/quote]
Thank you for your response. so that means we need to buy all those listed in the booklist. that cost quite a lot actually.

i heard there is no mid years exams for sec 1 and just the EOY exams. would there be term test, weekly tests where score are counted in the overall EOY exams marks? could any seniors or experienced parents give some advice?

also if the child have not taken HCL, is it necessary to put her to tuition to kick start before the term starts. - asking for a friend here. thank you.

Only the 1 weighted assessment per term will be counted. 10% from term 1 WA, 15% from term 2 WA and 15% from term 3 WA. EOY itself is 60%. Not all WA are pen and paper assessment. Many are in the form of assignments and projects. Some individual, some group. Varies from subject to subject.

                      Hi there,

Is it mandatory to purchase E-book for Maths/Science textbk?
Usually does the teachers require them to use textbook or use E-book during class lecturer?
                      Thanks in advance

No. just get the normal ones would do. They do not refer to ebooks in class.
For Science, most of the time they will use school notes.
The ebooks are useful if you need to bring the texts back for revision or homework but I don't think it's really necessary.
