Anyone knows of good bridging class for Maths in JC1 ?

      Thanks
There is No bridging Maths, in any JC

      A)
If your son come from Catholic High (IP), he is already doing Integrated Maths in (IP3 and IP4) years, No need Bridging Maths

      B)
If your son taking O-level National exam,
if he is doing O-level (Additional Maths And Elementary Maths) in (OP3 and OP4) years, No need Bridging course

      OP : O-level program

        hi

my boy wil be i JC1 next year.

He considering between GP and Knowledge Inquiry. Yes, in EJC.

Are ther any parents here whose children had taken Knowledge Inquiry before or currently?
How are they going to be tested during the A levels ? Written just like GP ?
My dd said that KI is not like GP. It is epistemology.

\"KI has a heavy focus on philosophy, specifically, a branch of philosophy called epistemology. It’s basically an area that examines our knowledge of knowledge. In KI, we ask questions like “What is knowledge?”, “How do we get knowledge of something?” and “Is that knowledge valid and how should we use it?”

If your query on bridging class - is in relation to introductory class for JC1 Maths; check out the various centres that provide JC1 headstart Maths classes conducted during the Dec hols.

Does anyone know if it is possible to take H3 subjects as private candidate?

I did not meet the criteria for 13 units in my JC, and my JC only allows me to take 4H2+1H3 in total.
I am considering taking one additional H3 as private candidate so I have 4H2+2H3

School candidates who are enrolled in Government/ Government-Aided/ Independent/ Specialised schools must not register as private candidates. If you are registered as a school candidate, your registration as a private candidate will be invalidated and any examinations fees you have paid will be forfeited.

For parents whose kids are entering A level stream from O level. It is crucial for the student to know what topics they are missing out on for combined science Vs pure science and A math vs no A math

For pure Physics there are topics such as electromagnetic induction that are not taught in combined Physics but is crucial in H2 physics in A levels.

As for pure Chemistry, topics such as electrochemistry which is a major topic in H2 chemistry and is not covered in combined chemistry.

So parents might want to take note of such gaps to make sure that their child do not fall behind and struggle as many schools do not pay special attention to students taking combined science and expect the students to catch up on their own.
