For appeal , tomorrow can submit ??

How long will it take to process the appeal? I read the moe website, they said they will process in Jan n the child will continue to attend the posted sch. Does that mean that need to buy books n posted sec sch uniforms too???

Friday tomorrow action day (20 dec),

can call up the school early 8.30 am, ask what's their school COP

6+ am to 8+ am, time frame,
Sms (moe) will be sent out, by batches

      (DSA students, are excused)

Do we have to go the sch personally for appeal ?

Once u fill up the appeal Form, go down in person to the school to submit the form. The admin person will ask u some questions like what is your Tscore or something else eg. What cca u took before, in your ex primary school, or other qns

Some schools may require you to go down to the office to get the form.

Eventually in 2020 Feb, will know highest tscore from moe sis.

More reliable and most imptly more discreet. Only those who wants to know will check.

Yes, sometime in 2020 Term 2, for each Secondary school, Moe will provide data

            - the Cut off point Tscore, to enter into the school,

            - the highest Tscore of the pupil, inside the school,

            - the median

Knowing the cohort median, is useful

Although these data exclude DSA students, as the data come from a reliable trusted source (Moe), they are good enough

However, one thing I don't understand is,
Why do Sec school SIS info, exclude DSA students ?
After all, the Sec school can always obtain the detailed Tscore of the list of individual DSA students, from Moe. Why exclude them ?

maybe they do not want people to know some of the top IP schools may have people with very low T-Score who enter through DSA
I wholeheartedly agree with your example of Joseph Schooling. In fact I have used it many times when I explained to my kids.

Joseph Schooling is a fantastic example...provided you decide to take PSLE again

Joseph Schooling is a bad example.

His eye and motivation is on the next endorsement deals he can garner before the Tokyo Olympics, not the current world's best 100m fly times. In fact his best time this year is not even in the world's top 50 best times.

A clear example of someone who had his head turned by what he can milked while he can.
Hahaha. Ok when I used JS as an example, he just won the Olympics. Now my kids don’t need such talk anymore.

Sorry for being a noob, is there any reason one shld consider appeal?

Isn’t the school be in the list u have selected?
Is it consider under this scenario?

Adding the T-score of DSA students would not give an accurate picture for this purpose.

Yes this scenario is possible where you may have miss choice 1 based on decimal places

there are many types of parents around I guess, like some already moved on, some in the process etc.. we can just read it for leisure, it is always nice to know .....

Ya no right no wrong. Its just like wanting to know how does 4D and and toto works does not mean that the person will be a XXXXX or be addicted to it since XXXXX itself is not good....... haha Its always good to know the system.

                      Agree:)
Everybody is free to ask question in the forum. There is not right or wrong question. There is not right or wrong answer either.

The highest score I heard is 279+3 from Kong Hwa school. She is a DSA girl though. For those who don't like to know any highest or lowest PSLE score, please just ignore my post:)

All the best to the posting day tomorrow! :imcool:

Q1. No need, but you MUST meet or be abv COP of appealed school.
Q2. Yes, school will ask you why you want to appeal if school is not listed in yr 6 choices
Q3. Erm, if child is posted to choice 2, doesnt it mean he/she did not meet the COP of choice 1? In this case, no point appealing
