Hi parents, I’m new to this forum. I would like to check is there immersion program at RGS?

If there is, is at what year and to which country? For how long? And I’m staying at Pasir Panjang, wonder is there school bus services provide from Pasir panjang to the new campus at Braddell? Thanks and merry Christmas!

Hi parents, has anyone facing a choice of choosing between RGS and NYGH? And how eventually RGS is chosen? My daughter is P5 this year, taking PSLE in 2020. Thanks!

hi, just to share on our simple reason for choosing RGS over NYGH, the high MT standard in NYGH which made my DD very uncomfortable. My DD is stronger in English and basically dislike MT, so we decided not to stress her more due to the higher standard in NYGH. We went to the open houses in NYGH (it was in fact my DD's dream school since P4), realized that the school will communicate in Mandarin during the morning assembly and is sort of the MT of the school. With this, my DD gave up NYGH and choose RGS. Now she is very glad she made the right choice as RGS seems really fun to her, her new found friends were wonderful and the new campus :boogie:

Believe both schools are good and comparable in terms of standard, but to look further, NYGH will lead to HCI, which is basically a rather \"Chinese\" school vs RI, who is more or a \"Singaporean\" school that produces many local talents. Just my 2 cents.

Most importantly is what you think suits your DD best.

There is a whole discussion devoted to this called "Compare RGS and NYGH". Have a look at it.
