Hi everyone, for the acsp orientation on 1 nov this year, does anyone know whether this is orientation for parents or for kids as well? It did not mention how many ppl can attend the orientation. So I’m wondering. Thanks
School invited the boy and his family. The detailed programme is in the letter sent to you in early October.

Boy will have a separate programme from the parents between 2-4pm in the classrooms. Parents will get a briefing in the school hall. Thereafter, can order school uniform, books, make school bus transport arrangement, and submit student care and car park forms.

          Hello!

My son is going to ACS Pri, P1, next year. My older daughter's school is pretty far away so I am trying to pre-plan the pick-up route. In the worst case scenario, may need to put one of them on school bus.

Can any of the more experienced parents let me know what the dismissal times? I can't seem to find this information on the school website. Thanks!

          Hi,

My son is also going to ACSP P1 next year. I got the school timing from my friend whose son is studying there.

7.40 to 1.30 Mon to Thurs
          Friday ends at 1.55

          Hi,

Here is the updated school hours obtained from the school orientation handbook for year 2020,

Reporting time: Mon to Fri 7.30am
Dismissal time: Mon to Thu 1.30pm
          Fri 1.25pm

            Hi,

I had browsed this thread from page 1 to 55, not able to finish all yet. Tmr is the GEP briefing, I may apply for ACS GEP. I have a few qns, could any parent from ACSP help to enlighten me?

            1) we don’t have any religion, what is school’s religion lesson/ talk like? Will DS be excluded or outcasted by other classmates? I believe this won’t happen, just want to make sure.

2)we r just from humble background, understand that there r lots of kids from rich families. Will there have some small groups of different kids from different backgrounds? Like rich kids like to play with rich kids?

            TIA!

              Hi selinasun,

My son will be in P1 next year, so don’t know about GEP.

My older girl is in a Methodist school though, so for question 1, in general, there should be chapel (usually singing plus some sharing) once a week and I believe it is not compulsory. And prior to assembly, there may be a short devotional (some sharing of thoughts). For the rest of class time, it is syllabus teaching. If there is any kind of out-casting by the boys because of religion and the teachers know about it, it should be nipped in the bud by them.

Thanks 150pieces. I have joined the WhatsApp chat group during the picnic. I am impressed that everything is so well organised. I have friends still struggling in finding parents chat group in other schools.
