How does the JC allocation system work
Allocate students by pts only or choice matters ?
what if two kid got 7 pts (after minus 2 bonus) who will got in first OR lucky draw?

      Thanks!

All the \" Raw \" 7 pointers will go in first, before the \" Nett \" 7 pointers, because the Raw score of these Nett 7 pointers, are actually higher than the school's COP 7

      Citizenship also come into play

Also, read the website for subject combination, because some JCs imposed the strict condition that if want to do H2 pure Science, u need to score minimum B3 for that O level subject, while other JCs never impose such condition

      Wrong.
      Net before gross.
I’ve just copy and paste the answer from MOE post before you.

@ jtoh, It is not retained jc1, it is MI. The RV 4H2 is 10 raw points + each subject grade above B3. 3H2 +1H1. Then if the score is good, encourage u take H3. That is ridiculous.

            Hi

My boy got 7 points for O levels after deducting 4 points for Higher Chinese and CCA.
We are staying in Lorong Chuan/Serangoon area.
The following are the few JCs that we have shortlisted.

            1. ACJC
            2. National JC
            3. Eunoia
            4. Dunman

We initially thought of putting NYJC as the first choice, but cut off point was 6 last year, so chances may be slim.
Any inputs on the above JCs? We like ACJC, but we find it rather far from our place.
What is the culture like in these four JCs?
Does anyone has the A level results of these JCs?

            Thanks in advance!

If you like NYJC, you should just put. Like S1 posting, it’s merit before choice. Who knows, you might just get it. Given that there are 12 choices, you can definitely spare a few slots.

Seem likely. Ejc cop will be 7/8.

The lure of a new campus is usually strong.

                      NYJC is 7 / 6 last year while EJC is 10 / 9. Wouldn’t be surprised if NYJC is 8 / 7 while EJC is 9 / 8 this year.

If the raw score is 9 or 10, the students most likely not choose SA JC as the first choice.
Raw score 9 plus each subject has B3 above, this two conditions are conflicts. If the students can not give the chance to learn fourth H2, there is less chance to have the chance to qualify for H3.
