verykiasu2010:
ya, perhaps only U level prof are capable to train them. i also feel that many pri MO platinum winners will divert their interest to other subjects/area when they progress to Sec....HyperKiasu:
i guess pri. kids' parents are more keen to sending kids for MO training than those of sec students.....
are all those MO training centres target pri kids?
seems to be catering to pri kids mostly
sec students' MO training is done by their own masters or by nus prof
the motivs for pri MO are quite mixed: DSA, exploration, gifted..... -

Hi hyperkiasu,
Singapore Maths Society also conducts MO classes. Their instructors are lecturers from the Uni and son once had a dr something who taught him.
You don't need invitation to attend these training but, of course, the child must have the aptitude for it; else it would be a waste of time and money. Classes are conducted at NUS itself.
Here's the link. Oops! regn for jun hols classes just closed yesterday.

Hi Mathsparks,
thanks for the information. they cater to audience of P5 & P6. DS is disqualified as he is P1 only.... he is a math enthusiast...though a bit too early to talk about it, I already start to collect all MO-related infomation... see how HyperKiasu I am.... -

some school give MO for level as low as P2. but to HA class only.

when to expose kids to MO depends on their aptitude not on their ages....
