Was joking with DH, lockdown Wuhan city, then all the Wuhan citizens will get sick and die inside killing the virus in the process. Whenever a Wuhan citizen tries to escape out of town boundaries, will be shot down, aka, 乱箭射死。
Sorry maybe I just finished watching 古装戏:亲余年.

DH said if the Wuhan virus is so deadly, don’t be surprised China will do such a thing! Xi’s thinking, 一家哭,好过万家哭。

To lockdown a city (the size of Wuhan), only China can do it.
Wuhan had shut down Macdonald stores

If the virus infected cases become high in Singapore, we will also shut down schools / skip school

        No

        This phenomenon will not pass,

        1) ...

        2) Even after they are cured from virus, vacinne solution found, they will continue eating weird wild-like stuff, like
bat soup, cat meat, dog meat, rat meat and snake meat, that's Wuhan life.

If China people keep eating all kinds of exotic animals sold in filthy conditions in the markets, this kind of virus will only keep on repeating, in an end-less vicious cycle, no ending. And the virus is then \"exported\" to other Asian / Western countries round the world, infecting many innocent victim, via travellers

        ...

          China peope ate wild [animal]
this article below state that, SARS is brought about, because of eating wild animal stuff

          https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2003/05/sars-linked-wild-animals

          people died from SARS
          https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/sars-in-singapore-timeline

hospital staff also died from SARS
hero Dr. Alexandra Chao, sacrificed his life, died from SARS
          https://www.asiaone.com/health/remembering-spores-sars-heroes-gone-never-forgotten

so, did the China people learn their lesson, from SARS incident , ie. stop eating wild animal ?
          No, they didn't

Singapore confirms 5th case of Wuhan virus; patient from Wuhan stayed at her family's home in Ceylon Road
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed a fifth case of Wuhan coronavirus infection in Singapore.

The patient is a 56 year-old female Chinese national from Wuhan who arrived in Singapore with her family on Jan 18.

The case was confirmed at 2pm on Monday (Jan 27), said MOH.

The patient was asymptomatic (producing or showing no symptoms) during the flight to Singapore.

She subsequently developed symptoms on Friday and was conveyed by ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital on Sunday. She was classified as a suspect case and immediately isolated at National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

Subsequent test results confirmed Wuhan virus infection on Monday, said MOH. She has no known links to the other confirmed imported cases.

Before being admitted to hospital, the patient stayed with her family at their home in Ceylon Road.

Since the onset of symptoms on Friday, she had remained in her home until she was brought to the hospital on Sunday, MOH said.

She is currently warded in an isolation room at the NCID and her condition is stable.

MOH said it has started epidemiological investigations and contact tracing to identify individuals who had close contact with the patient.
Even big organizations fall prey to human errors. Cld the world hv been more prepared if WHO had rated risk level differently earlier & countries put implemented travel restrictions & quarantine earlier?

I think with the experience on SARS, all are better prep
Once infected by travellers / tourists, or in crowded public places (eg. Macdonald, any Food Court) or enclosed areas (eg. MRT train cubicle carriage, school classroom, tuition centre classroom, Science laboratory, boarding school, community club activities, etc) , a lot also depend on

                    - the patient's auto-immune body ability system to defend & \"fight back\" this Wuhan virus, plus

                    - the will-power of the patient, to continue fighting, to overcome the virus battle enemy, or

to succumb (surrender) to the virus merciless attack (death)

Anyone knows how is SG 1st coronavirus patient doing? Like recovering well or in critical condition?

Curious to know after I read that the 1st coronavirus patient in Beijing had passed on.

According to https://emedicine.medscape.com/article/215840-overview, the mortality rate of dengue is less than 1% but it could be as high as 50% if left untreated. Up to 50% of humans (30 billion people) are at risk. Yet most people take dengue in their stride, and comfortably living with it in our midst. That's because it is well known and we have solutions for it. The current scare of the Wuhan virus is because it is unknown, but I will bet that people all over the world are looking for a cure for it, as it brings fame and fortune to the ones who do it. Already you have pharmaceutical companies like Johnson & Johnson saying that they will find a cure shortly for it.

I think it is important for us to take the disease in our stride instead of panicking. In my humble opinion, if we had survived the black plague in the earlier century, where communications and population size is much smaller, I have little doubt that this event will come to pass as SARs did. What we need to differentiate is panicky reactions to still ongoing news from information from people who really know.
