Not mandatory to wear masks in office though many are wearing in public areas. Many are still out as at yesterday.

So nobody going to petition MOE to suspend school for 2 weeks?
Schools already made us do extra CNY travel declaration.

Those with recent travel history have to stay at home and do e-assignments.

This morning my DS school all hands on deck. More than 10 teachers total stationed at the various incoming points (walk-in, drop off, school bus) to visually observe any sick students. I’m sure there will be temperature taking also.

Double protection? False sense of safety? A comic relieve for all the tensions out there? 😂

Singapore confirms 5th case of Wuhan virus; patient from Wuhan stayed at her family's home in Ceylon Road
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed a fifth case of Wuhan coronavirus infection in Singapore.

The patient is a 56 year-old female Chinese national from Wuhan who arrived in Singapore with her family on Jan 18.

The case was confirmed at 2pm on Monday (Jan 27), said MOH.

The patient was asymptomatic (producing or showing no symptoms) during the flight to Singapore.

She subsequently developed symptoms on Friday and was conveyed by ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital on Sunday. She was classified as a suspect case and immediately isolated at National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

Subsequent test results confirmed Wuhan virus infection on Monday, said MOH. She has no known links to the other confirmed imported cases.

Before being admitted to hospital, the patient stayed with her family at their home in Ceylon Road.

Since the onset of symptoms on Friday, she had remained in her home until she was brought to the hospital on Sunday, MOH said.

She is currently warded in an isolation room at the NCID and her condition is stable.

MOH said it has started epidemiological investigations and contact tracing to identify individuals who had close contact with the patient.
That means

Wuhan visitors /travellers are carriers of virus, although not visibly sick

not just primary schools and Secondary schools on the active look out for sick students, even Tuition centre also concerned. Some centre had asked their students who attend tuition, to fill up a form, if they had travelled to China

It’s alr 6061 cases as of this morning. Look at the graph & how it spiked within a short time compared to SARS.

I’m hoping MOE announce 14 days no sch to reduce public contact. We’ve many Chinese students within our many sch communities incl teachers.
