Received from one of the doctors (personal friend of my husband's):
Just in case you received info on social media about a suspected 2019nCoV case at SBCC Tiong Bahru Plaza (my clinic), it is a false alarm as child has been sent home after assessment by KKWCH. Please update your source to avoid unnecessary fear. Thanks

Now 13 confirmed cases in Singapore.

And 6,000 people are locked down onboard a cruise off Italy after 2 Chinese passengers are suspected to be carrying the coronavirus (one of them is developing fever).

because of the wide virus spread, people now \"siam\" restaurant, fast food outlet. Business affected, tourism, hotels very low occupancy rate, long term will impact economy, but precious lives far more important than any profit $ making, at this point in time.

When can we see some improvement in the situation? Have we reached the peak?

                  No, not the peak.

No peak, because as long as vaccine solution is not out yet, this scenario remain. Serious repurcussion on Global economy impacted, if this prolong, not just China economy alone

Channel news Asia report : more than 8000 infected now. Yesterday figure reported was 6000. See how fast, the number climb

People won't dare to go cruise now, because the space on board the moving vehicle vessel is confined, enclosed space. Where can one run to, inside the vessel, if someone on board cruise gets infected?

Yes, the streets, road, supermarket may be empty. In contrast, where are the places that are crowded ?

Hospital doctors, nurses, admin staff are over-worked, in hospital. Not enough, shortage of doctors to fight virus. China daily report that they bring in military doctor, to assist

will ordinary lives be affected, by virus ?

                        example

Those people who are getting married, say, pre-book wedding feast 20 tables at Chinese restaurant hotel one year ago, not sure if relatives, colleagues or friends in a mood now to attend their wedding dinner to "yum seng", in view of the virus spread

If relatives don’t attend their wedding feast at restaurant, wonder if relatives still give red packet ang-pow to the wedding couple
