Wear a mask and always use alcohol were ever you go. Also, observe proper hygiene every time. If you think you have the symptoms, go to the nearest hospital before it got worse.

In dilemma whether to book air tickets to Taiwan in Oct. Was planning to go after my gal PSLE... sigh. Wonder if the situation will be controlled by than 😞

If the price is low, I’ll book it. However, I’ll purchase an insurance policy that pays for cancellation immediately to go along with it.

If you become paranoia and too overly concerned about diseases, viruses, etc, you will probably never leave your house. 2019-nCov could be replaced by 2020-nCov or ABCD-Cov or some other fanciful names. The next natural disaster may also strike Taiwan as it is in the earthquake, typhoon belt.

Insurance policies may not cover all cancellations, so read the terms carefully. Often, the insurance will exclude certain things like \"government actions\", and some of the health-related restrictions may come under that.

better don't book holiday yet, because dont know when the vaccine cure is found (ready)

Thanks for your valuable & prompt reply. My thoughts are the same ... just feeling so sad 😞..

since your P6 child having 2020 Psle this year, during

                    - Term 1 holiday in March, or

                    - Term 2 holiday in June,

do not bring him (her) out on any holiday trip overseas, with virus around

Term 3 holiday in late August / September, is the final last lap boost (push), before he sit for PSLE in the last week of September, stretch & overlap into the last paper, on the 1st week October

Was looking out for Redoxon Vitamin C + Zinc, to build up immune system against flu. Both Guardian and Watson out of stock.

TBH I’m amused by the paranoia surrounding 2019-nCov. Is it because it’s China?

Yesh. To put things in perspective, Wuhan has a population of over 11 million. Hubei over 58.5 million.

You are more likely to catch pneumonia and die from the flu than from 2019-nCoV. The 2009 H1N1 swine flu originating from North America was all over the world before anybody raised any alert. Of course, you cannot call it the American Swine Flu. That's just politically incorrect.

That said, the same precautions apply to both corona and flu virus. Forget about the mask. Wash your hands often, don't touch your face, and don't share food.

A bit late now, but take a flu jab. You don't want to be quarantined just because you caught a flu bug.

The “normal” Hong Kong summer flu of 2017 (no one bothers to give it a special name) killed over 200 people in HK over 2 months, the same number as the “deadly” Wuhan virus. Seriously, I don’t recall a similar hysteria over Hong Konger and / or traveling to / from HK 2 years ago. There are probably more seats to / from HK on a day than Wuhan in a week.
