Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Updates

MKS,
If buy face masks online, pls ensure it’s those blue ones & ensure specs says triple layers protection. Don’t buy those thin white ones. Take care.
I’m feeling more sanguine abt nCoV. No community transfers, so shld continue to keep vigilant w/o stopping our world fr continuing its path. I’m thinking our poor kids, esp those very young ones will be bored to tears fr being confined to home. Did anyone see video clips how PRC gets quarantined by govt yet set up own fishing setup in a pail, kids playing badminton in living room, etc?
FIL admitted due to bacteria infection spread fr caterer. Hospital allow only one family member to follow & process admission. Hospital visit permits only one. We’re advising MIL not to go hospital as she’s elderly & more susceptible. Stress can reduce our immunity too. Visits will be amongst DH & siblings. Grandchildren told to focus in their studies & CCAs. -
pray everything will be alright, lc…

Have a story to share. I have a relative who was affected by the travel ban that took place on 1 Feb 11.59pm… He often flies to China for work and was planning to ROM middle Feb. His fiance is affected by the ban as she is only holding a China passport without any long term pass. They were quite sad. But this kind of things can’t be helped I suppose. Hopefully the situation will get better soon… Take care all!

And now there is H5N1 in Hunan.
-
ChannelNewsAsia :- China reported an outbreak of a highly pathogenic strain of H5N1 bird flu at a farm in Shaoyang city of the southern province of Hunan, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said on Saturday (Feb 1).
The case occurred on a farm with 7,850 chickens, 4,500 of which have died of the bird flu.
The authorities have culled 17,828 poultry following the outbreak.
China is not alone in trying to tamp down the spread of this virus.
Earlier this week authorities in India started culling chickens and destroying eggs to contain the bird flu virus.
And a different strain - the H5N8 virus - has spread throughout Eastern Europe in recent weeks. -

The whole world is on its knee, fighting the virus, now. Those infected patients, to them is a matter of life and death, can get out of hospital or not, or die inside isolated cell ?
