I think as opposed to stockpiling, some people simply want to do their shopping for grocery/necessities first and avoid crowds, especially over the coming weekend?

But some really very 夸张 la :rotflmao:

          What a mess…

I must say today’s fake news, rumours that leaked which turned out to be true and the subsequent panicked behaviour is pretty disappointing.

Ya. Is this imported panic? DS peer parent asked for sch to close & let kids do eLearning at home.

I asked her if she wants life to come to a standstill? What does she want the boys to do at home with no peer classroom interaction. They are young & shld be active in school unless we’re in RED DORSCON. We’re not as huge as China nor do we hv widespread community spread. She shld not import the fears her parents experienced in China & do the same for her son in SG. Sigh!

Many PRCs in SG imported anxieties to our shores 2 weeks ago wearing masks & DH was pointing them out

I think that person will die of cancer from the instant noodles first before he/she gets infected by the virus.

I hope all these food won’t go to waste. Don’t stock up and then throw away later.

Back then in Y2003 when Singapore had SARS, I don't recall supermarket in Sg encountered emptying food shelves, this scenario. We had been through SARS, didn't have that kind of panic (emptying food shelf)

                    Disappointing meh?

I find it so Singaporean and so utterly predictable.

                        Ya... Disappointed.
Had hoped for better news flow, more socially responsible behaviour. But guess not much has changed even though we constantly point fingers at how badly other countries behave.
