For these young docs, my heart goes out to them. They’re talented, dedicated & willing to be in the frontline to save lives, but as a result, the viruses ard them overpower.

Not easy when there are hundreds & thousands to treat day & night in hot suit. After all they are human & anything cld overcome them besides the viruses - tiredness, slip of mind when one hv to respond to nature’s call or sweat ard their faces, etc. Ustand that due to troublesome in wearing protective suit, they resort to wearing pampers to save fr disrobing & going to washroom.

My respect to the spirit of care & face their calling. Such valuable lives, gone. We learn fr their selflessness & continue the spirit of caring for others. :salute:

If your child did something wrong do you scold him by saying \"I warn you not to repeat what you have just done or else you will get caning from me\" or as common parents do by saying \"oi stop or I whack you\". :pokeeye:

Emm... But we are not his children, in fact, we are his paymasters, 😄

Think we shouldn’t CONFUSE the use of Singlish with the use of derogatory terms. You mean behind closed door, you use words like “idiots”, “suckers”, you don’t xia suey me” on your kids?
Behind closed doors, If my hubby uses such words on me, I will give him a flying kick! 😂

Thank God my kids have not come to the stage whereby I have to use such terms on them. 😓 😓 However, I do admit that I ever used such terms on certain people but not to their faces. :siam: Basically I am a very nice person and talk nicely to people so much so that my kids think I am too nice already. However, if you ever step on my shoes and shit on my head, I will send my regards to your mother after using such terms behind your back for the N number of times. 😆

Well, just to kill curiosity, let me share what transpired behind the closed door with my kids.

The night when there was a run on the supermarkets, one of my friends sent me the photos. As usual, I forwarded it to my DS1 and DS3 to keep them updated. DS1 remarked that I am his CNA. DS1 has his own family and DS3 is staying in the hall. Below are our text exchanges.

Me (caption with photos): Happening now at NTUC.
DS1: Huh, all shelves empty? You are there?
Me: No lah, someone sent me the photos. There is a run on the supermarkets.
DS1: Haha, I thought you went to hoard also.
Me: No lah, I won't do anything to embarrass you. 😉

Me (caption with photos): Happening now at NTUC.
        DS3: why?
Me: Guess cos G just announced DORSCON orange.
DS3: Walau, but it is not WW3.
Me: Yes but I think some people are afraid that essentials run out.
DS3: Wa, rice I understand but why buy so many toilet paper? Got diarrhea arh?

As a tutor, I am not ashamed to say that I use Singlish with my kids. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: Closed door mah. :censored: :censored:

I keep those random scraps of paper handy in my handbag (eg Unwanted receipts, namecards of overenthusiastic salespeople) - fold them & use the corner to press the buttons. Then I discard them as soon as I find a bin nearby.

Any other inanimate object is fine too, but it should be something that you are unlikely to touch again, especially to put near your face.
          see, zac mom,
see how horrible people are, to spit onto the lift button, inside our Singapore LRT or MRT station. No wonder virus can spread !

Diarrhea toilet can’t help! Maybe charcoal? 😆

NB : Sorry, I missed the word “tablets”. Cher, don’t deduct my marks huh. I’m only writing a ‘short’ non-exam fun piece la.

I’m glad they made a police report. Nowadays, with CCTV everywhere, there’s no way to run.

Based on the law of probability and numbers, we should see our first death anytime soon. Hopefully, that won’t send people into paranoia and frenzy again.

Probability of dying from road accident or natural causes is still higher.

The probability of striking one of those 4D prizes is higher at the moment.

Think he has underlying condition(s) so people should be rational and not focus excessively on that.

Was looking through NEA's guide on cleaning steps and brands of detergents, most of us are already cleaning to similar standard using those brands daily/weekly so the general cleanliness standard of our homes here is very high.

With our weather and most homes being ventilated, unlike the other countries which are still experiencing cold, risk is again lowered.

Only those who are working, 8 to 10 hours, confined in air-con, may be uncofortable with the contagion risk.
