Hi ryanryan and Parent,

Since Parent had already apologized, let it pass. I believe after this incident, in future, Parent will verify the source before she post info here. I believe Parent will be more careful, next time

Let see if she continue to post fake news on NYJC..

You haven't answered where is the source you claimed NYJC said it is the top non IP JC.

So, who is posting fake news?
The only way to get 13AUs is 3H3, 4H2, PW and GP (3+8+1+1). SHE must be a once in a generation talent for MOE to make an exception to their own guidelines (HCI is correct to describe the student as such). My guess is she must have a long list of referees willing to vouch and write in for her.

        13AUs is 2H3, 4H2, PW, GP and MT (2+8+1+1+1), I believe

While it’s still 13AUs, it should rightfully be presented as 12+1 AU. However, that would have contradicted MOE policy and guidelines of 11+1 AUs and treatment of H3/H2 subjects. If an exception can be made for 2H3 and 4H2, you can be sure that maybe half of RI / HCI would be clamoring for it. For MOE to deviate, it has to be an unusual case for a once-in-a-generation talent 😂

TBH For HCI, I doubt the brightest pupils have HCL to contend with, especially so when the student likely came from a top SAP school. I doubt the 9 distinctions would include MTL.
I got a noob qn. Does it mean that 9 distinctions = 13 AUs for sure?

Did anyone provide any concrete proof to expose me?

By the way, you have not answered my question where you got the source that NYJC claims to be the Number 1 non IP JC?

We try to be civil here. Many forummers have indicated that it is impossible ( except for the HCI case where special concession was given by MOE) to have 3 H3. Given these increasing voices, any person with common sense will quickly retract their fake news and post corrections, no?

I have already told you the source is winsomeloosome and her many different ids. Are you blind or wat?

So, there are special cases where MOE allows 3 H3? Maybe it is no surprise MOE also allows other JCs as well?

So, now you say your source is from winsomelosesome. Did you check where he got it from before accusing NYJC of claiming it is the best non IP JC?

If u want the answer, perhaps best to clarify with Principal of Nanyang Junior College directly, how the NYJC student scored 13 units, because only the answer from the school Principal is true, not speculation.

I think u are mistaken. There are other 9 distinctions from other jcs as well. Its just wanting to know the maths behind 9 distinctions that's all. Please don't drag me into this nyjc saga. I not interested in what's going on in this nyjc thing. Anyway many pple say this and that abt nyjc until also don't knwo what is real and what is not.

one is Hwa Chong JC. Hence, maybe u can post one message into Hwa Chong JC there, ask the students or parents in HCI thread : how that student scored 13 units ? Perhaps they can tell u more

the other site that mentioned 13 units, is this NYJC thread. Due to the uproar as u have already seen for yourself, as mentioned, only Principal of NYJC know the truth. Thus, he is the best person to seek the truth from

which other JCs, besides HCI and NYJC, mentioned 13 units ?
If have, is always best to go directly to the horse's mouth and clarify, because u also do not want to end up having speculated answers, right ? After seeked the truth, then u have a better picture, can tell yourself, \"Oh I see ! now i finally understand, how students can get 13 units.\"

HCI mentioned one student achieving 13 AUs without mentioning the number of distinctions.

As per Parent's clarification, NYJC principal mentioned nine distinctions without mentioning anything about AUs.

RI had three students who achieved nine distinctions each, without mentioning number of AUs.

Hence, it is possible for NYJC to have a student who achieved nine distinctions.

However nine distinctions don't necessarily imply 13 AUs and they don't necessarily imply 3H3.

General qn. No truth to seek lah and I am not questioning anyone abt whether their 13 AUs are real or not, or how and what their 13AUs can or cannot consists of.

That’s the problem. In 2019 A level result thread, it was first reported that the mean UAS of NYJC was 85 although it was indicated as “not verified”. Subsequently, someone said 85 should be the median, not mean.

However, over time, the whole KSP seems to believe NYCJ’s mean UAS is 85. But what exactly is the actual mean UAS, nobody knows.

That is why if one of its top student scoring 3H3 distinctions is not clarified, very soon whole of KSP will take it as a fact even though it’s not.
