Regarding supermarkets, anyone noticed that the price of rice like went up $1 (per 5kg pack) since DORSCON Orange !? :scratchhead:
Many items that used to have bundle offer (2 same items @ discounted price) no longer have such promos. They are sold at their original non-discounted prices. So consumers who buy these items pay more than before but I guess it is not considered as price increase :nailbite:

I think price of essential goods (rice, oil, ...) in NTUC are controlled items, so the price won't anyhow increase, at least for the house brands. Not so sure about premium brands of essential goods though.

Not all families have someone at home to watch younger kids, and many of the parents who would have to stay home may well be the medical staff and sanitation workers we can't spare. And older kids may not stay at home - imagine thousands of teenagers with free time hanging about outside. I think schools staying open, with current precautions, is still better overall.
