for current term tuition fee paid probably go for tuition..but if current situation persists, would you all let kids go for next term tuition?

      tuition centers measure kids temp
some small grps, the tutor will ask the kids if they are well before lessons

It is back to parents n kids need to be social responsible
Sick dun go out ! wear a mask n head to doc asap

think should be quite safe if class not big and kids bring sanitizer and careful with touching face.... so far I feel ok with them no tuition coz not p6 and no exam yet..I shall see how if can take another term of break la .. though catching up may be an issue later on 😓

Aka they have backup plans to roll out e-learning (tutors upload lessons/issue worksheets/give comments etc via email or video feed) should the schools close, they have intention to follow also.

But I dunno how MSF is going to handle it. Or even ECDA for preschoolers.
So full fees still apply? Video conferencing for lessons ?[/quote]
Yeah full fees. They have used the fees to set up their E-learning capacity. Not sure whether the videos are “live interaction” or simply pre-recorded lessons by the teachers (who still have to report to work & record these videos/answer qns).

Even MOE schools have briefed the students, should schools close, students will have to login via SLS platform. School servers cannot handle such high volume of traffic, so they even briefed the kids which levels to login at which times. P6 P5 given priority to login earlier. Then P4 P3...and the lucky P2 P1s get to sleep in till 10 or 11am then login.

If stop tuition, may not be able to get back the same time slot. Especially for her chinese tuition.

Oh you bet Persia is cold now! Brrrr….
                  https://postimg.cc/4n1Z68kr

Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Syria and Afghanistan snow often.
Occasionally Israel, Saudi Arabia and Egypt will get snow.
But no snow in UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Yemen, just very nice & cool from Oct - Mar, like Taiwan & HK, minus the moisture.

Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore also have UV light, but still...aircon!

just curious - do you wear a mask when giving home tuition? do you make your tutees wear a mask and sanitize their hands? Or if you go to tutee's home, do parents make you wear a mask and sanitize your hands? Do they need to provide a mask for you every week?

                      \"precious parents\" mean Human Capital, the income-earners and economy-drivers.
If all plants shut down, retail malls/shops shutter, offices empty, stock mkt plummets, listed companies delisted, supply chain disrupted, so no trade, no import/export passing thru our Singapore port which will be idle, and no revenue will be generated.

                        zeit,

I don't wear a mask when giving home/class tuition. Yeah, I use hand sanitizer instead since there's contact with teaching/writing materials and surfaces. Thus, I jumped at the chance when I saw https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=95466&p=1964622&hilit=chenlaoshi#p1964606 since it would be good to be able to provide for the students too

A couple of my home tuition students already have the habit of putting on masks when they're having any slight cough/flu (prior to Covid-19). These students put on masks during each lesson now. As for the others, the situation is very much as 'per normal', with constant reminder of personal hygiene.

For my classes, other than using disinfectant spray/surface cleaner, I get the students to wash their hands before and after each lesson before they leave.

I decided against holding sch holiday workshops this March sch holiday and am exploring online learning options (suggestions are welcome! 😄 ). Not easy for CL - perhaps more suitable for oral component.
