Hi, Can I check whether active community leader can be a person under non RC, non NC groups such as Women’s Integration Network council, Narpani paeravai, Malay activity exec comm council etc? These also fall under Grassroots organization but are not explicitly mentioned under the MOE guidelines for active community leader based on the below definition.

If these groups are included, does that mean I can apply for a school under any GRC, given that these groups are not location specific?

“Active Community Leaders” are defined as current serving executive committee members of the Residents’ Committee (RC), Neighbourhood Committee (NC), Citizen’s Consultative Committee (CCC), Community Club Management Committee (CCMC) and the Community Development Council (CDC).

If not mentioned under the guidelines, probably not eligible. Better call PA to confirm.

Only those defined under the active community leaders are eligible. Thank you for the service but the rest are not included in the Phase 2B scheme.

many have already done the homework.
from the list above, clearly, there are some Committees that are almost unattainable - given most of our humble background.

Thanks very much everyone. I will check with PA as well as Davischew suggested, and if they have different interpretation, will post here.

There are usually two ways to get into these committees. One is via parachute, which usually means an extraordinary background and the other is via farming your way, especially if your background is humble and ordinary. Can understand why RC / NC is the usual route since it’s the least demanding in terms of background.

How does the redraw of execution boundary affect 2B GRL? Will the new boundary take into effect right after the election or are there some buffer time?
