All About Primary Schools' Balloting History

Generally speaking, < 1km is always better than 1-2km as < 1km will get the first cut of the places. Therefore, you can expect at a minimum, a chance at balloting. 1-2km, on the other hand, risk no chance of balloting or balloting for limited places. That said, 2 years is a long time from now - it’s difficult to tell how things may change.
Hello!
If I got a chance for phase 2b aitong ( 1-2km) Vs 2b Catholic high ( less than 1km).. for registration in year 2022... Which is a better chance? Or can I assume that aitong will have no slots for 1-2km in phase 2b.
For CHS < 1km vs ATS 1-2km, it should really be a no-brainer. Pick the one with the higher distance priority, ie CHS. I reckon that your hesitation and pondering are due to a younger sibling who’s a girl, in which CHS sibling priority would not be applicable in future. If that’s the case, you will have to monitor the odds / number of applications to ATS before applying to CHS. If there’s a good opening, go for it.
By the way, I’ve seen you asking for sponsors In order to join SHHK. Please note that your application must be accepted by them before 30 June of this year in order to be eligible for 2020 registration. Note: it’s acceptance, not submission. Therefore, it’s best that you get it done before this month ends. -
Thank you for the wise advice! 🥰 Definitely got lots to learn here..💪💪

Hi all,
Anyway to see balloting history of primary school registration breakdown by distance?
I remember I used to be able to see. If not anyone have the breakdown for Raffles Girls Primary School?
What are the chances for SC staying within 1 km?
Thanks in advance!

100% sure in for < 1 km, only if kid is SC
100% sure in for <1km .... is referring to 2B or 2C?
, for Phase 2C. Refer past 3 years (2019, 2018, 2017 P1 registration statistics, call up school to check)
If kid is PR, 2C < 1 km, useless !
As for 2B -
only if Rgps select u as a Parent Volunteer, otherwise zero chance to get in, unless enter by Grassroot venue -
Hello everyone, I’m new here. Need some advice.

I applied for SCGPS PV last year but was unsuccessful. My girl’s P1 registration will be next year, for 2022 intake.
Given that we will need to shift house probably end of this year to be within 1km of school of choice, for P1 registration in July 2021, we are considering 2 options:
1) St Nicholas Primary
2) Singapore Chinese Girls’ Primary
Location wise, Thomson area is a better choice as it’s closer to the work place. We also grew up in Ang Mo Kio area so we are more familiar with Thomson.
May I ask - I will be trying for either school at Phase 2C. If I am unsuccessful at either one, which school will my girl be posted to - is it according to cluster or GRC? I tried searching for info on the MOE website but did not seem to find any info.
Looking at the stats, it seems like SCGPS is easier to get in, though still have to ballot at Phase 2C. I also heard that there are more kids being transferred in, due to parents migrating, etc (not sure if it’s true).
Any advice will be appreciated! Thank you -

- Say, I can't get into Marymount Convent, how will I be assigned a school?
- Is Mayflower Primary a 'natural' 2CS option if I'm unable to get into SNGS? Just thinking if SNGS is worth the shot since we are keener on it, though as you say, it is harder to get in and end result may be worse off.
Thanks again. -

Thanks again.[/quote]For those insistent on a girls’ school, Marymount is usually the backup option for SNGS as well.
If you can’t get into a school after Phase 2Cs, you will be assigned the nearest school (to your place) with vacancies. Therefore, if you are living close to Mayflower, that is a possibility.
IMHO, buying a property for a shot in the dark Is totally not worth it. -

Didn’t realise Marymount to be the other option for SNGS - thought it will be CHIJ Our Lady of Good Counsel. So I can look at no of vacancies at 2CS, then no of applicants. Whoever has leftover will be the school posted to if really can’t get in even at 2CS...
Thanks Davis and Floppy. House-moving is indeed a big move.. 😔
Actually if I may add, since I will be shifting house and can go anywhere, what will you do?
1) Thomson/AMK area - SNGS
2) Dunearn area - SCGPS
3) Bukit Timah - NYPS (I was from NYGH. This was my ideal but I have since given up hope.)
4) East Coast - Tao Nan (we work at airport). We did not join Huey Kuan as we didn’t have any friends who are existing members.
Just planning for backups if we don’t get into any of the above, and seeing which is the best backup... -
