Lol, you should gather IQ maths information first for p3. MO comes after p3.

some school give MO for level as low as P2. but to HA class only.

when to expose kids to MO depends on their aptitude not on their ages....

You don't need invitation to attend these training but, of course, the child must have the aptitude for it; else it would be a waste of time and money.
if the child doesn't have the aptitude, then signed up for what??? :? :?
normal math enrichment is more suitable perhaps...

              Hi hyperkiasu,

Singapore Maths Society also conducts MO classes. Their instructors are lecturers from the Uni and son once had a dr something who taught him.

Here's the link. Oops! regn for jun hols classes just closed yesterday.

May I know how effective is the course? Must the kids have some basic MO knowledge to benefit from it? TIA

You mean there's HA class in p2?

Smarter kids are generally more suited for MO training at an early age. However I specify IQ maths for kids of average ability and above because once their reasoning skills are developed they can easily catch up with the others.
There is a limit to what a kid can learn and understand in the lower primary, and much progress in MO is actually made in the p5-6 years.

From the topics listed, kids without basic Mo knowledge can sign up and benefit because they are teaching from basics. They are likely to be taught a lot, so it will be effective if the students are willing to spend some time at home to review and digest the information.
Like what they say the basic requirements is strong in maths to be able to follow their pace.

To me there is no difference in being exposed to MO later, as long as the kid has good fundamental reasoning skills and not miss the deadline for tests.[/quote]ya, there is. also to my surprise, a huaykuan pri school parent told me so...

I am not sure whether kid's IQ can be trained.
but if IQ math training can improve kids' reasoning skills, why MO training can't? a bit confused :?
