I also do not track where my fresh produce come from. I buy base on price, convenience and what looks good or what I feel like cooking/eating. Actually I am also not very price conscious. So long as it is not exorbitant.

Lucky we do not have dietary restriction. No chicken, eat pork, no pork, eat beef, all dun have eat tofu and legumes. No fresh, buy frozen. No frozen, buy canned. No canned, buy dried/preserved. haha. Hopefully won’t reach that state.

My hubby jokingly asks me to start planting sweet potatoes. Friend’s hubby asked why not buy a pig and some chicken (they live in landed), 😂

NTUC controls shoppers buying & limit each pax purchase of $30 of veg, eggs, rice, toilet paper, tissue paper, etc.

Think real estate agents will hv abit bz rebound for short-term rentals for M’sian workers facing lock-down. Many factories will be faced with manpower problems, security guards, for packers, salespersons, drivers, etc. we’ve to work harder to face this disruptions.

                    [Sent by Gov.sg - 17 Mar]

We have adequate supply of food and essentials. Please do not panic buy or hoard.

S’pore’s strategy: stockpiling, domestic production, diversified supply sources
➡Rice and noodles - have more than 3 months worth of stockpile
➡Meat and vegetables - have a combi of fresh, frozen and canned options, more than 2 months worth of normal consumption
➡Eggs - have local production, activated options to substitute M’sian supplies

                    Watch: Go.gov.sg/supply

👍 Stay calm and look out for one another in the community.

🗣 Share reliable information from official sources. There are a number of false rumours circulating.

                    Accommodating affected M’sian workers
                    - Govt looking into support for S’pore-based companies that urgently need to accommodate workers
                    - Will prioritise needs of essential services like healthcare and cleaning

The limit set is still more than sufficient for an average sized family for 1 week’s worth of groceries and provisions. $30 for vege, $30 for fresh poultry, 30 eggs.
