Europeans lassie faire attitudes is really unlike gangjiong Asians. Also, Italy really hv more vulnerable elderlies.

This is time if all countries restrict travel & entries, more limitations of big gatherings and stay-home orders, for 2-weeks to a month, shld see less spread & more chances for medical focus to help affected ppl recover better.

Best don’t even catch this virus. Heard fr medical professionals the lungs will be very much damaged. :nailbite:

I agree we are too relaxed, because our liberal elite governments are too scared of alarming the populace. I like the SE Asian approaches to dealing with it; though it does also need them to eliminate the causal wet markets. In the West, these are widely seen as the root-cause.

Earlier in this thread there are some forummers that critized some of us for being concerned about covid-19 as they said it is just a flu. This video explains clearly why we should be concerned. The video used US numbers but it applies to all countries in the world.

This is not a normal flu -It is indeed sad to see people suffer . So many brainy in the world still haven’t got a confirmed cure
Be it Chinese , Ang mo , across diff ethnic grp etc all are humans -
Here is a look into Italy , equally sad state as Wuhan previously . Maybe Eu is more transparent in their news compared to C but Ang mo did not take it seriously n not as strict as C, Korea , etc . Getting out of big hand now 😞

A funny line in the school mums whatsapp Group, at my son’s school. Alarmed at being stuck at home with their children for extended periods, they’ve stated that being stuck at home with their kids is likely to generate school mums coming up with a cure to CV - long before the scientists do....lol.

Vaccine is abit more complicated right? Lol

Lawrence Wong just announced that the govt is considering measures against those who choose to travel overseas despite the border control measures. How about those studying overseas? Does it mean they can’t go back to uni overseas until the govt says can go back? Or, if choose to go back to uni overseas then cannot go back until permitted by the Singapore govt?
