Sleeping Problem in teens

My one twin too but in p5, also. I don’t allow much screen time, but born to dislike sleep I guess. So I m following.

Is she physically tired by bedtime? Maybe some exercise in the late afternoon might help.

I always ask her surrender her phone at 10. and leave her phone outside in the hall before going to sleep.
sometimes, she does sneakily takes her phone in the room. If to ask her to sleep early she will toss around in bed. And worse she is a light sleeper. If her sis snores she will wakes up, or sometimes when i open the bedroom door, it will also wakes her up.
Or is there anything to take before sleep so can sleep better? or when she wakes up before school?

Does she have a bedtime routine? We set this up for young kids, but it also works for teens and adults. Some unwinding time before bedtime, maybe some reading or something. 10pm is quite early actually, and she is probably just not sleepy then, and aiming for 10.30pm might make it easier for her to fall asleep.
If she is a light sleeper, maybe ear plugs or white noise might help? -

My girl loves.. reading. If u ask her to read .. the more she will be awake. ask her to exercise.. she is super lazy type. :roll:

Check if she has been drinking bubble tea or milk tea coffee etc in the day? I had that a few times and couldn’t sleep at all… can imagine our teenage kids getting addicted to all the sugar and caffeine.

Hi HasnaN1977, with the new implementation on temporary closure of bars and entertainment venues, you can now take a break and get a good rest.
It can also be insomnia and the most common cause is stress..

Probably caffeine? Advise to get outdoors and exercise, get ample sunlight early in the day. Say before 2pm… after 3pm, no white light and electronics. See if it works?
