Hi parents! My daughter is going to DSA to RGS via the English domain...did anybody's daughter DSA through English domain. If yes, can you plz share the selection and interview process. Thanks in advance

The selection and interview process this year is likely to be very different from past years given the current situation we are in. In the past, its a short group interview of 10-15min (each student does not really have much time to talk!). Some will go for the 1/2 day program later which include written test (essay writing etc). Some actually go direct for 1/2 day program without going through the interview.


Doubt they will conduct group interview or 1/2 day program this year. Its best you check out the new format.

This covid year 2020 caused the new DSA Selection criteria to be different, from past years. Check with RGS DSA officer-in-charge, what is the new format going to be like.

RGS do away with these DSA subject tests, for those who have applied under \"Academic\" domain, as that would imply

Several hundreds of P6 girls going to turn up at their respective primary schools to take academic subject tests, which will cause a big headache to the huge amount of co-ordination work involved, between RGS Admin department with more than 100 primary schools admin department in Singapore,

sometimes even more un-necessary burden involved, as some P6 students may call up RGS admin, request to change RGS subject test date to another date, because timing clashed with another Secondary school's DSA test, etc.

the virtual online e-interview conducted at your own primary school premises, is the most important determinant factor, as to whether get CO / Wait list or otherwise (rejection).

As covid-19 is asymtomatic, even though outwardly display no sympton whatsoever yet still can be a contagious virus transmitter, unlikely that RGS will conduct any Face-to-Face Round 2 mini small group discussion anymore, as been done previously last year 2019

And some very good ones go to the interview in the beginning of the season, and then nothing, until the CO at the end of the season.
