NTUC is also profiteering from us Singaporeans lol what you talking about

Value Shop raised the price of alcohol-based solution Isophyl within a 5 times month! The prices at NTUC was stable. Prices at NTUC does not fluctuate, except when other supermkts do promotion to capture crowd & bz. Do check things out.

thanks for sharing. If valuedollar is doing this as per what you alleged it is absolutely terrible. I will forward your post to them and ask for clarification on the matter.

I like the new arrangements. HBL once a week.

Now, the next pressing issue to resolve is PEAK HOUR commuting using MRT Trains. Packed like sardines within an enclosed space, where got 1m apart?!

My thoughts, maybe everyone should put on a surgical mask during the peak hour commute in the train? Say from 7.30am - 9.30am and 5.30pm- 8pm, compulsory to have a mask on before entering the platform? Sanitize hands before we board the train cos commenters may need to hold the hand rails?

Of cos, I understand when I’m not sick, and wearing a surgical mask, it does not really protect me. But if the person sitting/standing next to me from Pasir Ris to Jurong is an unknowing virus carrier, during the entire journey, he would have his mouth covered, like everyone else, and that might reduce the chances of me (and everyone else near him) from getting the virus.

I think the problem is, we do not having enough surgical masks for the entire 6.5mil population for daily use, but I suppose reusable cloth masks or even covering with a handkerchief is better than nothing. You can ask the virus carrier to stop yakking in the train but you can’t stop that person from coughing/sneezing or even to open his mouth wide and yawn without a mask.

That said, I don’t like the idea of chopping down trees (to make all the disposable masks).

I m not sure how is the situation with the train situation now..best is to wear mask ..aiyo packed like sardines during rush hours hope not as bad now. ..if kids willing to wear lor...I feel that online selling more masks and prices getting better also..actually best is the person not feeling well gotta please be more considerate, put on mask when outside so that those feeling well will be safe, can also save the tree..

My children take the MRT home after school. :nailbite:
Both don’t put on masks during their rides home.

Since we don’t know who’s not feeling well inside the train, so best to make it mandatory for all to put on masks (and sanitize hands) during peak hour commuting. No masks then use handkerchief also better than nothing.

Although DH thinks it’s a good idea, he said it is against our Govt oft-stated policy of “No need wear mask if not sick”.

Waiting n hoping for sg sme to produce mask, then we can be self reliant like Taiwan.
Yah, should ask all to use mask on crowded public transport , provide hand sanitizers at platform too , now we can make , not ex. This is one way to help in social distancing n protection in situation where by space is limited in trains , bus in peak hours.

beside ONLY e learning, also can alternate diff levels to go Sch n stay home e learn. LIKE THAT can free school physical space for teachers, Sch staff, students etc. The recess canteen is still crowded though there are staggered breaks. , my kids said canteen can’t make space for 1m distance q n alternate seatings ? But they do sit according to class, lesser pupils per table. In class though exam style seating but still not one meter gap
DD2 just told me school asked them to bring their own containers, school canteen will pack food for them (machiam Jap Bento set) into their containers and the students will eat in their respective classrooms to avoid mingling during recess.

For DD1, hers is sit according to register number. Assigned seating at the canteen. 😄

Maybe for time being, since we talk about it everyday, plus no cure yet, of cos we do get paranoid. I saw a video showing one lady spraying disinfectant on the plastic bag once she received her Grab food. 😂

Ard 7.30pm, I went to food court to dabao dinner, wa, the economical rice stall had like 20 dishes unsold. Shopping mall v quiet. The stall owner looked sad. A lot of cooked food wasted.
