The outdoor exercising should stop. It is totally unnecessary. Even professional athletes can exercise within their own homes, quarantined people can run marathons to-and-fro within their balcony.

But how come suddenly so many Singaporeans who never bothered exercising before, suddenly all became fitness enthusiasts, every day must go out for jog at East Coast Park. :siao: We started doing our own Tabata aerobics exercises at home to work off all the fats from sitting too long doing WFH/HBL. Eat smaller portions also to conserve our food/grocery rations. Act like it’s war time because it’s war ain’t it?? Ridiculous when even grown adults cry on social media just because McD shut down. Cannot eat other food meh. Will starve meh.

I understand some Singaporeans may be living in cramped housing and crave some fresh air & want to stretch their legs. But more cramped than the FW dormitories meh?[/quote]
You’re lucky you still have takeaways available! I’m currently in NZ, and we have no takeaways, no deliveries/drive thru, nothing. We’ve been cooking three meals a day for almost a month now. Lol. It’s been good, though. I miss takeaways, but we’ve started making the stuff we want to eat instead of buying. My husband likes cooking, and he’s got a list of things he wants to try and make lol. We are also much stricter - supermarkets have a one in, one out policy when they reach a certain number of people, and only one person per family can go in and shop. Can’t complain. It all seems to be working - we are down to single digit new cases now, and I’m looking forward to drive through mcds sometime in the next couple of weeks 😂

Am more concerned on the spread in local community; the FWs in dorms are pretty much under controlled with the isolation, separation and they are young hence healthier.
The local transmissions are not that high - 20+ reported a day? And they probably get cleared up after a day or so. At least that no. is not increasing daily, so I guess steps are being taken to clamp down on known transmission cases. The thing is, now that we have nearly completed 2 weeks of CB, it's likely that those who caught it did so during the CB period, and some may have done so by breaking a rule (or a contact broke a rule). So they may try to cover it up to the authorities for dear of getting themselves or their contact into trouble, but hopefully will change their ways anyway.

Don’t get me wrong - we have our share of idiots. But people are generally behaving, and it helps that the rules are very clear - no driving unless it’s to work (if you’re in essential services) or to the supermarket. And you’re only supposed to shop locally. And because only one person per family can shop, supermarkets don’t become a place where people go because they’re bored. It’s get in, do it, get out.

I am not sure if it has anything to do with our PM Lee encouraging citizens to exercise during CB. I recall on 3th April, just a few minutes into his speech on TV, I was surprised that during “lockdown”, we can still go parks to exercise as I was expecting something like Wuhan type of strict lockdown. Even my folks went down to exercise daily back then (they claimed PM Lee said can!) until I managed to brainwash them that they have high blood and diabetes so they belong to the “high risk” group.

Maybe more people will start to exercise after this CB. Worst thing is to queue up for Din Tai Feng / Punggol Nasi Lemak.

Couple can go supermarkets. But we only need 1pax and not whole family browsing inside NTUC. The husband can’t wait inside the car? If we limit each household can only go supermarkets twice a week, am sure half of the crowd will be gone.

It’s nice to hear that NZ has managed to bring down daily figures to a single digit. @slmkhoo is right, those 20+ cases a day are those who probably caught it during the CB. I wonder from where. Bubble Tea, supermarkets? No one caught it from the mass queue outside IKEA earlier? Lol

I think 2 to the supermarket is reasonable; I need my bull to carry the goodies into the home.

I agree that only 1 person need to go to the supermarket, even during normal times. I have always been irritated by spouses/maids/teenage kids parking themselves all around the supermarket while the other person goes around gathering stuff that they need. Why can’t 1 person just do the rounds while the rest wait in the car or just go grab a drink while waiting for the shopper to be done. If 2 persons head to the store, then make sure both are actively getting what is required to shorten the time spent there. Don’t go and park yourself by the trolley and make yourself an obstacle.

Now with this situation, I feel it even more. Store staff are all over trying their best to restock the shelves, trolleys with goods are all over place, and at almost every aisle or corner I see a couple of these fellas leaning against their trolleys fiddling with their phones and blocking everyone’s way.

                        Hi Fried Chicken,

How does New Zealand enforce \" only allow one member, per household to \" visit supermarket policy ?

What if the husband queue in front first, then queuing behind him are 4 other strangers, from other household. And behind these 4 strangers is his teenage daughter, plus 1 other stranger, then after that is his own son queuing up ? That means, they tricky (smart), purposely split up the queuing sequence of family members, from the same household.

In this case, both husband and his 2 children still end up entering the supermarket together eventually, because all feel bored, going crazy cooped up at home the whole day long for HBL (home based lessons), just want to go super-market to jalan-jalan, smell some fresh air.

No more can allow \"only one per household family, to visit supermarket\"

Do they check for anything, at entrance of super market, before entering ?
