MConline (by Marshall Cavendish) is a relatively older platform (older than SLS). We used it for travel declarations before Parents Gateway app was launched.

There are some limited functions & resources that our school still uses, Eg free Gmail account for the kids. Which they can then use to access Google Classroom functions.

Hi, is there any mention of p6 psle schedule - prelims and psle proper? what about DSA - MOE website only states will share more in May.. I guess it's not possible to visit open houses that are usually held in April-May periods.. and also the applications etc etc..
As zac_mum suggested, it's advisable to keep a look out via the individual school's website. Catholic High, for example, has a virtual open house scheduled on Sat, 16 May 2020 (https://catholichigh.moe.edu.sg/openhouse). 😉

Way before SLS was implemented, MC Online and ASKnLearn were the 2 main online learning management system.

Just wanted to ask if anyone knows how these Virtual Open House (s) work?

Never been to one and has no clues how it works.

              Thank you in advance.

St Nicks e open house has already started on April 20, you can visit it to see how it works.

Very worried about this year's PSLE cohort.

Already HBL is not that effective like classroom training, plus they missed lot of revisions which normally happen before SA1. These kids sit directly for Prelims and PSLE, within 2 weeks.

Btw, any further details on Non-examinable topics for PSLE?
In facebook post, I saw \"Volume and Piecharts\" for Maths.
In MOE, it says \"Interaction with environments\" for science.

                    Waiting for more details.
actually, P6 \"Pie-chart\" is not difficult.
After some amount of practice, student will become familar.

                    when MOE say, Non-examinable \"Volume\", -
Please go and clarify with your child primary school's Maths HOD (Head of Department)

                    - is it only non-examinble \"Volume\" in Paper 2 only,
that is, still retain some simple Volume questions inside Paper 1,
or totally remove Volume from both Papers (1 and 2) ?

                    because

\"Volume\" questions can be challenging inside Paper 2, if you refered to certain past years PSLE Maths papers or refer to certain Top schools' past years P6 SA2 (Prelim) papers

                    whereas

\"Volume\" inside Paper 1, some questions are Not difficult, your child can do.

so, please confirm with your school's Maths HOD.
Maths HOD supposed to clarify with SEAB, if HOD is not sure.

                    What we worried is,
don't get caught at PSLE ...
what if \"Volume\" questions still appear inside Paper 1 ?
(If not sure, don't be shy, ask until you are sure)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts ! Indeed at this moment, so many uncertainties for this year batch of PSLE kids:( My gal is badly affected & with the HBL, it really adds additional stress too as teaching lessons virtually is not as effective compared to the usual face to face lessons with teachers. Hoping for the best 🙏

Did any of your kids’ schools release their plan for face-to-face supplementary lessons during the upcoming May holidays? Cos MOE said will allow schools to do this.
