Ammonite, your DH may want to try taking magnesium supplement if he often suffers from leg cramps. Last time I often have leg cramps and it has since “disappeared” since I took magnesium. After it disappeared, I reduced the frequency of the magnesium. Can buy magnesium at Guardian or Watson’s.
      ngl,
He pulled a muscle while exercising but thanks for the reminder on magnesium! I went to read up after your post and seems that it is also good for sleep and nerves. I think it will do my whole family good to increase magnesium rich food in our diet. 😄

All TCM halls allowed to open on 12 May, according to CNA. Question is whether Hock Hua is considered under this category? I expect so?

Yesterday, there were 10 unlinked local cases! Why still so many despite the CB?

Wonder if enrichment centres can open on 2 June. My girl’s ballet exam has been delayed if the CB. Haizz…

This is a valid qn. My concern is if too much resources hv been spent on FWs ...

How do the locals get infected?

Can a person just developed covid-19?

Actually, acupuncture treatments have resumed on 5 May, right?

And TCM halls with registered practitioners are also allowed to sell retail products at their brick n mortar shops. HH, ZTP do not have resident registered practitioners.

Services like cupping, guasha and tuina are still not allowed.

Besides my $300 foot massage package, I also have another cupping/tuina package worth $200 stuck with 1 TCM sinseh.

No choice but to rely on TCM rubber suction cups at home. I just cup on the same old acupressure points to soothe my aches.

You can also ask your partner to use a Chinese soup spoon to perform guasha with some OTC moisturiser/massage oil on both // sides of your spine, shoulder blade area and back of neck. Just comb the same achy nodes same tortured muscle using the same strokes same direction like your sinseh.

If you need foot massage and do not have OSIM, just use a chopstick to poke the acupressure points of your toes and soles. Refer to any online foot reflexology map to see where to poke, dig, knead and comb. Can also wear your foot massage slippers at home.

I've some MIC 艾灸 moxibustion neck and shoulder pads to replace acupuncture. It's pretty good for frequent travellers with frequent body aches or joggers with heel pain (Plantar Fasciitis).

I also saw some news about an NTU undergrad getting it without stepping out of his house during the CB. He got it in late Mar maybe. And 3 more NCS staff in NCS Hub in AMK heartland. They reiterated they are backroom staff, but didn't they need to go out to tabao food in AMK or take MRT?

And last night I saw 3 more young children in the news: 5yo and 8yo girls and one 8yo boy linked to a Kranji dorm volunteer.

There are 4 from Expo, one of them as young as 20yo. Listed as \"Male nurse\" on website. I wonder if he's one of the NSF medics?

When PM mentioned 'larger, hidden reservoir\", he wasn't referring to FOREIGN WORKERS. Please reread his speech; he was talking about the community you and I are moving around in:

                      \"Community
In the wider community, the circuit breaker is starting to have an effect. The number of community cases has fallen in recent days.
This is the result of all of us coming together, making sacrifices and adhering to the circuit breaker rules. We cannot afford to be complacent. We must press on. To bring down daily infections more sharply, to a single digit, or even zero. And to reduce the number of unlinked cases: those cases where we do not know how they got infected, or from whom.
Because unfortunately that number of unlinked cases has not come down. And this suggests there is a larger, hidden reservoir of COVID-19 cases in the community, that is the source of these unlinked cases, which we have not detected. \"

Of course PM wasn't saying this based on his \"Sixth Sense\", without any scientific/medical evidence. He has access to some random serological test results to make that kind of statement.

I don't think it's realistic to impose the same restrictions on locals as they have imposed on the FWs. The numbers (and costs) would be too large, and the political fallout even worse!

My personal opinion, but unverified, is that the no. of cases is due to some locals with mild or no symptoms not obeying the CB restrictions and spreading the virus around. How many people have we seen in the past week breathing through their chins? (Because that's where their masks are!) And if some do this openly, there must be some who are breaking other rules like gathering and meeting in groups, just that no-one has caught or reported them yet. And contact tracing by questioning these people probably won't work well as they are unlikely to honestly report where they've been and who they've met if they were breaking the rules at the time.
