My son has been offered his 2nd choice to study Science at NUS Faculty of Science. He was being notified by email of the offering a few weeks after his NUS Medicine MMI interviews. Obviously don’t think he is on the wait list with this notification.

As for NTU medicine, he was placed on wait list. For the time being he was invited for a double major programme interview at NTU School of Biological Sciences. This particular course has a tie-up with NTU-Duke-NUS medicine pathway. It will lead to a medical degree as Doctor of Medicine (MD) after a total of 8 years of studying.

I see it is an up hill task for such aspiration, a big hurdle after another. He has to go for interviews at NTU then again at Duke NUS and sit for MCAT exams. Again at the end only the best results would be selected to go for the degree in medicine (4 yrs) after completing the Science Courses (4 yrs).

Hope chasing the moon brings the passion nearer and don’t ended up like chasing the wind after all the hassles.

Oh this is the direct NTU-Duke-Nus pathway course. My child's friend is offered too. Hers is SUTD-DUKE-NUS.
All the best!! I think she got the 7 years offer right away. No need to wait for completion of SUTD to apply to DUKE-NUS.

hi, all the best to your boy. May his NTU waitlist be converted to offer ASAP.
In the meantime, just try his best for NTU and Duke NUS interview.
Jia you ! Medicine is not an easy path. Hats off to these kids who choose this path.

Thank you "Taz" & "proud mum" for the consolation.

It’s a long wait plus the anxiety. I will let my son decide and hope he won’t be stressed and exhausted juggling between army training and going for nerve-wracking interviews and entrance test.

As parent, I can see it is very tiring and I can only provide moral support and encouragement.

After comparing SUTD-Duke-NUS and NTU-Duke NUS, noticed SUTD is embarking on design innovation & technology to Medicine. Whereas NTU is offering to embark on Double Major Programme in Biomedical Sciences and BioBusiness or Double Major Programme in Biological Sciences and Psychology.

After their stinct at SUTD (3.5 yrs) and NTU (4 yrs) , they proceed to Duke-NUS to be graduated as MD (4 yrs) specializing in their respective fields.
