On Sun when I was exiting the ntuc in Hillion mall, the staff told me no need to check out. I still checked out using SafeEntry.

I always use my hp to scan and after scan QR code need to complete personal particulars .. if use IC, then no need complete arh..then I better use my IC next time.

Is it a must to scan at check out? if forgot to scan, what will happen?

Last week when I was at mall n supermarket , no one or poster tell me to check out

But the new Official poster which I printed out for my dept. , indicated check in n out for all.
I wonder does it record time to be accurate for contact trace , if it does then entry n departure time make job easier for the contact tracing team

At first I didn't notice on the checking out..but looks like checking out needs hp to scan then complete particulars again hor or we give the IC to the guard there arh..but some guards at check out also...

Oh dear, I didn't check out at NTUC and basement carpark exit just now either! Only Hock Hua reminded me to check out.

I think it's very important to check out because you do not want to 'kenna' SHN for no rhyme or reason for being at the same place with a Covid-19 person (might be a sales assistant or shopper) during the same window.

Imagine you really left at 3pm, but a Covid-19 person checked in and visited the same outlet at 3.15pm, but because you didn't check out, they thought you were still loitering in the mall at 3.15pm and was exposed to the virus. Don't wanna tio this kind of beh bio. Hopefully CCTV and my vehicle IU time stamp will serve as proof that I've physically checked out. Guess contract tracers are not that stupid huh. Those basement carpark jagas and NTUC self-checkout ambassadors were slacking. They didn't see I strut out.

Read about a taxi-driver's housewife whose hubby was a confirmed case and has been hospitalised for nearly a month. She now has to shoulder the responsibility of bringing dough home and her girl had to stop enrichment due to zero income. Fingers crossed that no one parent is down, leaving the other hands-off spouse in a lurch, rummaging thru the house for kids' revision notes and school timetables.

For kids, remember to bring their student concession pass to let them scan. Otherwise, if they have a hp, can scan QR code.

yeah I think it is good to scan for the exit too for the purpose of contact tracing…got to remember do that next time. I usually stay at most 1 hour, most time less than that.

Sure boh, never scan out from supermarkets will kena SHN if happened to be with Covid-19 carrier at the same time?

I think the whole system kind of 乱
Imagine my DD managed to check-in using my NRIC. So in the first place, Safe Entry cannot even verify if the person entering is the actual person, how to issue SHN to us (for example)!

Most of the time I never check-out when I exit from supermarkets before I leave.

I see many just wave the BACK of their HPs also don’t know they really check-in via QR or not before entering the mall.

And in the end, if they still need to verify / confirm using CCTV of the basement car park and IU time stamping, then isn’t it back to square one?

Is school really reopening on May 19?
My children's school never informed the parents anything about this...
